I've been in the EFF for 5 years, both when I was more conservative (in high school) and now, when im definately a solid liberal. Its a really good group, I joined originally over the Napster issue. They've gone on to this voting stuff recently, so I've sorta lost interest, not really that interesting to me.[Edited on December 10, 2005 at 5:13 PM. Reason : .]

This is one of my hot buttons. It's absurd that we are outsourcing voting with no real way to validate the totals other than a company saying "trust me."

your trolling is too repetitive and predictable
12/10/2005 10:00:33 PM
stfu trollwithout legitimate elections, it doesn't matter wtf you're campaigning for. without legitimate elections you can be an activist from here to eternity - won't matter a flip. this is the bedrock upon which our society is based. we can debate whether or not we should be currently concerned that our elections are illegitimate, but we can not debate the significance of the issue, in and of itself.
12/10/2005 10:06:11 PM
doesnt mean everyone has to be interested in the issue
12/10/2005 10:14:00 PM
well, whoever is not interested in it is completely missing the point and has no societal comprehension.
12/10/2005 10:16:52 PM
you can realize its an important issue but still not be interested in it
12/11/2005 1:04:04 AM
fucking troll. of course elections are important. ive declined in interest toward the organization over time since the Napster case died off. just b/c im not inspired to pick it back up doesnt mean i dont think legit elections are important. of course they are.crime prevention is important, wouldnt you agree? well, why arent you a fucking cop then?youre the guy who pulls out the obsolete Dixiecrat shit just to piss off Democrats anyway, so I really shouldnt be feeding you. But I did, so there.
12/11/2005 1:09:00 AM
now you're trolling me. Of course crime prevention is important - but its only important AFTER voting legitimacy has been secured and preserved.so again, there's no excuse for not having an interest in the restoration/maintenance of legitimate elections
12/11/2005 8:06:58 AM
so how much volunteer work do you do for them
12/11/2005 8:45:33 AM
when did i ever say you should volunteer? all i said was you should be interestedyou're doing a good job of trolling, here, if that's what you're trying to do.

Is there a choice not use the electronic machines?
2/25/2006 2:02:06 PM
it doesn't matter if you use it or not. If they are using them for fraud, all they have to do is add one more vote to their artifial total in order to negate your own "paper vote"
