I've got a number of them, I just took inventory. I did my best to photograph them. The pics don't look great and I can't host them all b/c I/m not a premie.

Ebay apparently doesn't sell guns so I couldn't get any ballpark figures on some classic and some obscure guns.

I'm not necessarily looking to sell any. But it'd be interesting to know...

I can post a pic of any given rifle or gun in question.

Right, but what I mean is that something is only worth what you can get someone to pay for it. So on TWW, it might not be worth as much as it would be somewhere else, but what you can get someone it pay for it on TWW is what it's worth on TWW.

If some dude asks me what his trees are worth, I cruise his timber and come up with $5000 an acre, dig through my pocket and find a 5 dollar bill, and tell him his timber is worth 5 bucks then is that true?

i don't get why this hard to understand.
if you want to sell a gun. the gun is worth say $450 according to the general consensus online and in local gun shops.

no matter what brand it is, what condition it's in, or how much you paid for it no one on tww is going to give you anywhere close to that amount. you are better off keeping the gun if selling on tww is your only option.

hell it wouldn't matter if it was a diamond encrusted freedom arms 454 casull revolver, no one is going to give you more than $100 for it on here.

now he could be asking what it's worth on tww, but i doubt it. he knows the answer to that. he's most likely interested in what it's worth in the real world.

do we really need to argue this?

If that's what every forester who comes along and looks his land over says, then yes, it is. A 100,000 acre forest of mature Red Oaks is only worth what you can get someone to pay for it, and the same is true with anything else.

^ Not if whatever it is you're talking about is worth more to you for other reasons. NC State doesn't chop down the oaks near the corner of Western and Gorman because they're worth more there than they are as cash. They're worth more for aesthetics, for sentimental value, for shade, for whatever. Just because something could bring in money if sold doesn't mean that you're going to always sell it.

Something is worth what you can get someone to pay for it, but if you won't give it up for that price then it's worth more to you to just keep it. If that's not what I said, that's what I meant to say.

I'm gonna try to post a list of a few of them in a minute. I can post the pics of several at a time that you'd like to see, but I guess they'll be red X's when I take them out of my gallery.

BTW, I'd like to reiterate that I don't intend on selling any of my guns (unless they are UBER $texas). I'd just like estimates on market values.

I'd also like for others to talk about some other cool guns.

Here's one I know nothing about... It's a Remington "Rem. 30" I'm told a 30-30. It's pump-action, very light compared to my Win. 30-30 94 carbines and the magazine is spiraled. It says patents pending in 1909 and 1910, the serial is 7534.

Here's a Winchester 94 30-30 Buffalo Bill Commemorative with a coin embedded in the stock, it's a full-size rifle, heavy, with the octagonal barrel and never been shot.




I also have the Winchester Centennial Gold-Plated Model 94 and the Win. Canadian Centennial 94 with the tag still on it, none have been fired.

The best way to get a good price on them is to take them to a reputable gunsmith. They can typically tell you what they are worth. I have a Winchester 12-gauge side by side that was made in 1898. It was a family piece and I recently found out it is worth a good chunk of change. I'm not sure about around here but Hyatt Guns, and Carolina Sporting Arms are both good places if you are in the Charlotte area. The companies will give you information about when it was produced and originally sold, but Browning charges $10 for that service.
