Could a car really jump over a creek like it did in that movie and survive? Seriously, i'd like to know... what are the chances it would be drivable after such a jump?

damn, i'm impressed
11/30/2005 6:25:48 PM
that was sweet! and to answer the first question. i think the car would have to be modified, maybe then it wouldn't fall apart.

you would need to beef the frame and suspension and add a lot of balast to the trunk to keep it from nosediving.

um which old james bond movie did that long chase scene awesome jump over the river/creek? that was real, and the landing ramp kept the car fairly intactthe taurus jump in road trip looked pretty real, although its doubtful that the car would be driveable after.

^ i was thinking a prerunner type setup would work well, but then that would be a truck not a car.
11/30/2005 6:48:20 PM
^^i don't think they did drive it afterward. i thought it caught on fire.

^^ I really don't see how landing the jump would cause damage that looks like would come from running into a pole

Eh, neither did I... but either way it woul dprobably be screwed.
12/1/2005 2:47:04 AM
how many cars did the dukes of hazzard destroy?
12/1/2005 11:07:40 AM
a shit-ton! but a lot were re-used, or at least the shell. Most all of the chargers that were "jumped" or "wrecked" weren't working, running, complete vehicles.
