I told you not to ask $3500...so where is my $500???
11/30/2005 8:31:34 PM
That is true, it was you that put the 4000 number in my head, but im not giving you $500.The winshield and inspection together is costing me $30 out of pocket. I have connections, and no I wont share them. There are no mexicans involved in this deal at all.I haven't done all the checking yet, but I think I just set the record for the highest selling price on a high mileage late model Astro (178,000 miles) haha. This totally makes up for the bad experience I had trying to sell my old '67 Volvo on eBay.

Well done Joel

till you get a non-paying bidder and have to do it all over again, people like you are why i would never buy a vehicle off ebay
12/1/2005 10:57:07 AM
that makes no sense
12/1/2005 11:31:52 AM
he never does.
12/1/2005 11:35:52 AM
patched together shit like that, you never know what kinda things have been done to a car and then sold dirt cheap on ebay
12/1/2005 11:52:54 AM
replacing a windshield and transmission is "patching shit together" now? or maybe you mean the carwash and gas?
12/1/2005 12:16:36 PM
Yeah I don't see how this is "patched together shit". He was upfront about the mileage, and the transmission being replaced, as well as some other wear items. The only thing he didn't disclose is how ridiculous a deal he got on the van in the first place--and who would? It's amazing how differently a dirty vehicle with one major and a few minor problems is perceived as opposed to a clean vehicle with the major problem repaired, even if some of the minor ones are still there.

It is a damn good little van, wish I could keep it. 69 you just dont know what you are talking about here bud.
12/1/2005 9:52:20 PM
i dont understand why you spent $100 replacing every light bulb[Edited on December 1, 2005 at 10:42 PM. Reason : maybe that was the other car]
12/1/2005 10:42:02 PM
^^ shoulda put a disco ball and mattress in the back, and a mexican flag in the window, it woulda sold quick
12/1/2005 10:58:31 PM
^^ On the Astro, I actually only replaced the front turnsignal/sidemarker bulbs, the glove box lamp bulb, and 2 of the 3 courtesy/step lamps that I think blew when I was pressure washing the joor jambs/sills. All the rear bulbs, with the exception of the LED CHMSL assembly, had been replaced shortly prior to me getting the van.^ You see though, it did sell quickly.FYI, because it was an ebay auction, and I had a few other details I wanted in the bill of sale, I chose to use http://www.lawdepot.com ($9.50) instead of the little free generic bill of sale forms found online- it came out pretty damn well.
