I am looking for 1-2 CSC seniors to join my EEP group for next semester. This would take the place of your senior design class. I am planning to develop a software program to allow college/high school coaches to share their game tapes with other schools over the internet. Specifically, it would be nice to have someone with security experiece and someone with networking experience. Let me know if you're interested. Reply to this post or PM or hckirk@ncsu.edu

You could join the team too. There is a one hour version of the class for underclassmen and you participate in one of the senior design projects. The course number is ECE 292C -008.

Yea, it will count. I'm CPE too. You just have to sign up for ece 481-006 for senior design.

Glad to see they are pushing this through. Don't worry about finding people ... senior design always get filled up QUICKLY for the spring semester. Talk to Joyce Hatch/Barbara Adams and they may be able to refer individuals to you on a one-by-one case basis.[Edited on November 30, 2005 at 12:38 PM. Reason : .]

I will be working at Cisco full starting dec 14, but I would be interested in doing this. Does anyone know if you can do the project part of the class and not have to attend the seminar part... ??

what does this proposed software do that hasn't been done already?

Nothing particularly ingenious. Its more that the combination of a few things hasn't really been done. It wouldn't be file-sharing, but would have a host server. It would also implement a permissions system to allow users to choose who could view their games. I would like to develop a desktop app for permanent clients as well as a web portal to allow non-clients to download for a one time fee.
