11/29/2005 3:39:53 PM

11/29/2005 3:40:40 PM
Let them both lose and have penn st. and LSU play for it.
11/29/2005 3:41:56 PM

11/29/2005 3:42:41 PM

11/29/2005 3:43:04 PM

11/29/2005 3:43:59 PM

11/29/2005 3:45:58 PM

11/29/2005 3:58:01 PM
Penn State belongs there more than USC. Fuck those bastards
11/29/2005 4:06:28 PM
how can anyone deserve to be there omre than usc?they've won 34? straight games
11/29/2005 4:08:48 PM
11/29/2005 4:13:56 PM
^^Who did they play?
11/29/2005 4:23:36 PM
have a 65 team playoff so unc and state could be in
11/29/2005 4:35:48 PM
i'm pretty sure usc played like someone ranked in the top 10 the other day didnt they?and like notre dame didnt they?didnt reggie bush have like 500 and something yards in a game or somethingsurely i must be mistaken, that would be impossible for a rb to do that in one game

penn state lost to michigantexas is undeafeatedwhy would penn state jump?
11/29/2005 5:12:51 PM
They won 30 in a row this year?
11/29/2005 5:13:00 PM
11/29/2005 5:16:59 PM
if usc or texas loses, Penn State will more than likely jump into 2nd.[Edited on November 29, 2005 at 5:30 PM. Reason : ]
11/29/2005 5:29:50 PM
yes, they deserve to play...the real question is "If Texas AND USC lose this weekend, then who gets into the title game?"
11/29/2005 6:46:27 PM
Penn State and LSU. but then the question will be what about VT?[Edited on November 29, 2005 at 7:01 PM. Reason : ]
11/29/2005 7:00:21 PM
are you sure?will they really drop both Texas and USC below those two? Texas i could see them justifying as they'll have lost their SEC championship game, but USC will still own a share of the PAC-10 title and will ahve lost to a ranked team... will they really fall two spaces underneath of other 1 loss teams?

Picking which 1-loss team should play in the NC would depend on whether USC or Texas lost, and how bad they lost.Penn State lost by 1 second to Michigan. Michigan's a respectable team (certainly more so than Colorado), so that's why I think they're the best of the 1 loss teams. LSU lost to a bad Tennessee game in overtime. Close loss, but to a crappy team. Virginia Tech got owned by a good (not great) Miami team. Bad loss, but to a good team. The Big 12 was pretty weak this year, and if Texas can't beat a 4-loss team from the Big 12, then they shouldn't be in the NC. If Texas plays, I will be PISSED if they still go.USC, on the other hand, plays in a decent conference (not as tough as the Big 10 or SEC), but certainly better than the Big 12. If USC lost a close game to UCLA (a 1-loss team themselves), I'd consider leaving them in the championship game. If it was anything more than 2 touchdowns, I'd pick a Texas-Penn State game.
11/30/2005 12:53:17 PM
Neither one is going to lose so all of this is really moot point.
11/30/2005 12:59:26 PM
11/30/2005 1:12:17 PM
unless both usc and texas get blown out this weekend, I cant see any other two teams playing in the national championshipnor would I want to see any other two teams play for it..they are the best in college football
11/30/2005 1:18:32 PM
11/30/2005 1:24:34 PM
so what if both lose and LSU loses to Georgia.
11/30/2005 1:40:41 PM
^^ But the teams that whine about not making it in March clearly won't win the national title. The last at-larges are around the 12 seed and the highest seed to ever win is an 8 I think. Not to say in an 8-team playoff the 8 seed couldn't win, but the allowable margin of error for deciding a national champion is more tolerable for fans between 8 and 9 than 2 and 3.
11/30/2005 1:54:56 PM
just announced today if the top two teams have the same record at the end they will have a plus one
11/30/2005 2:23:06 PM
11/30/2005 2:53:24 PM
yes, they barely lost to michigan on the last play of the game. big deal.
