So 3 semesters ago I made an F in a class that was for my major. Since then I have changed majors and I am doing a lot better in school. I wasn't a freshmen at the time so I wouldn't do retake and besides I don't need that class for anything now anyways. Is there any way I can drop this from my record?

yes you can get it done - edwin had it done - or at least he had it so the grade didn't count but was still on his transcript - maybe ask him

it's probably too latethe only option I could think of would be a freshman retake, but it's too long ago to work

You can't drop a single class after the grade has been submitted ... you can only drop the entire semester. There are other options:1) Take the F. Out of 120 credit hours, it may lower your GPA by 0.03 or so ... something extremely small. If you can explain you changed majors, and showed you had a good improvement in grades, employers generally don't have a problem with this.2) Repeat the course. It depends on the course as to whether this is possible.3) Take a few "easy A" courses to recover from the grade.
