http://www.musiccitybowl.com/Add an L to MaryLLLand and then we need to push hard for the Music City to save us from Boise!I dropped an email to the general email and let them know the Pack would bring Tens of Thousands of people to enjoy Nashville for New Years and give any Big Ten team they pick all they want and hopefully then some!Show your love for the Music City Bowl now! and hopefully they will show us love after Saturday!
11/22/2005 11:56:48 AM
i wouldn't mind going to Boise.never been to the northwest, plus one could conceivably squeeze in a day of hitting the slopes
11/22/2005 11:58:26 AM
i would much rather party in nashville. plus, with our red uni's, we'd stick out too much on that blue field...there's no sneaking up on anyone out there!
11/22/2005 12:00:15 PM
Have you looked at the cost trying to get to Boise? I haven't seen plane tickets for under $700 round trip...thats not going to happen. I'd love to spend new year in Nashville! Spend $150 round trip Airfare an then I'm sure I would dump plenty of $$$ into the Bars, resturants and hotels of Nashville too!
11/22/2005 12:10:16 PM
Its now officail that the Music City Bowl will select an ACC team. They have changed all the info on their website and state that the "ACC is the home team for 2005."We need to take care of business on Saturday and then we will officially be in the mix! The ACC needs to lock up 1 more to make sure all eligible teams will go to bowls...unless UNC beat VT in Blacksburg. The emerald Bowl is the likely target.2 of the other At-large bids are already gone...TCU to the Houston Bowl and Navy to Poinsetta.
11/22/2005 12:51:44 PM
where do you see that ACC is the home team? I can't find that/.
11/22/2005 1:01:04 PM
http://www.musiccitybowl.com/online_fan_guide/coliseum.htmlat the very bottom of the page. It was just changed/added this morning. I wrote an email pimping the Pack this morning and then check the site later and they had added all the ACC stuff. The poll this morning was "What Big 10 team would you like to see in the Music City Bowl" so I wrote an email saying that NCSU should play opposite Northwestern (Hi scoring Offense against good Defense)We need to get on this bandwagon so our administrators can say their is a buzz about people going and we would sell a bunch of tickets! If we beat Maryland the Music City Bowl doesn't even have to wait to see what else happens...they could offer us right at the final buzzer in a Victory!I'm ready...New Years in Nashville!
11/22/2005 1:16:15 PM
well, we'll cross that bridge IF we get to it. I don't get false hopes up for shit like this and I don't know what to say about this Md game. Just really looking forward to Saturday. The Northwestern thing seems almost prophetic to what I predicted earlier on, but I've been wrong before...
11/22/2005 1:19:38 PM
Don't they have to wait until the bowls ahead of them choose their teams?Anyone have the list in the order they select for the ACC?I used to know it, then they added 3 teams [Edited on November 22, 2005 at 1:21 PM. Reason : .]
11/22/2005 1:20:39 PM
why dont we wait until the final buzzer before we start lobbying bowl organizers
11/22/2005 1:21:56 PM
^
11/22/2005 1:23:46 PM
Nah, lobby hard now, NO BOISE!!!
11/22/2005 1:28:46 PM
Maryland is our bowl game.
11/22/2005 1:31:21 PM
11/22/2005 1:59:06 PM
what are all the bowls that the ACC is tied to? They used to list them on the ACC site but I can't find them.

Mandel from SI has us:
11/22/2005 2:48:07 PM
^I hope not...they need to ship UVA to Emerald. If we win we would be 4 of our last 5 when UVA will have been smacked around by VT and an L to Miami
11/22/2005 3:00:51 PM
isnt the emerald pac 10 and mountain west? how would we even get a shot at that one.
11/22/2005 4:12:46 PM
^PAC 10 won't have enough teams bowl eligible...and since the ACC will have a tie in with emerald next year they may want to throw the ACC a bone.
11/22/2005 4:34:07 PM
since I'm from nashville and will be back over winter break, I had been hoping this would be a possibility...and thank you vandy for making UT ineligible for a bowl because they would probably be in this bowl otherwise. Music City Bowl officials were on a sports talk station here in nashville saying that as long as NC State becomes eligible, they are a team that they would be extremely interested in. So let's get past Maryland, and then you can all come stay in my city and watch us beat up on a Big 10 team

11/23/2005 12:32:05 PM
Nashville would be awesome
11/23/2005 12:43:45 PM
I live in Nashville now and I would love to see the Pack play here since it would mean that I could afford to see them. However, I hate this stupid city and I can't wait to leave.
11/23/2005 1:03:05 PM
who do you think we would play in nashville...michigan, iowa, wisconsin, and northwestern would be the options right? those all would awesome match ups imo
11/23/2005 3:59:21 PM
I live in huntsville, al.. two hours south of nashville. This bowl would be great, couldnt get any close for me.
11/23/2005 7:01:01 PM
ahahahahahaha
11/26/2005 1:58:29 PM
here we come...
11/26/2005 3:42:18 PM
if we played any of those Big 10 teams, we would get whiped the floor on
11/26/2005 3:50:59 PM
It would be kinda cool to see us play wisconsin in the Music City bowl. They are currently the BIG TEN number 6, Music City's pick for their bowl, and if they should pick us, it would be a rematch of two of last year's sweet 16 teams....I doubt that would have any effect on their choice, but Nashville would be much much better than San Fran....
11/26/2005 6:47:36 PM
^umm... football
11/26/2005 8:25:25 PM
look at the seating diagram for the San Francisco Bowlone whole side of the field doesn't have seats
11/26/2005 8:27:15 PM
I don't understand why that is in a baseball stadium rather than Candlestick, where the 49ers play.
11/26/2005 9:26:58 PM
the benches are on the same side of the field, wtf
11/26/2005 9:28:19 PM
OMG STEALING PLAYS!!!11!!
11/26/2005 9:29:03 PM
Guys, c'mon we gotta flood everywhere but Boise Bowl with emails, I would love to go watch the pack! But Not In Idaho!
11/27/2005 1:45:46 AM

11/27/2005 2:39:16 AM

11/27/2005 2:44:28 AM

if we play wisconsin my parents will fund my trip, they are badger fans though grrrr god damn real school thanks for nothing north carolina
11/27/2005 3:48:56 PM
^^ The Gaylord Bowl is bad enough, but would you want to play in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl? Colorado State and Navy have been given that privilege for their success this season.
11/27/2005 9:34:09 PM
tickets are cheap, $45 for lower level... since I will be back home in TN I am thinking about buying them no matter who plays
11/27/2005 10:55:07 PM
11/28/2005 12:44:37 AM
NC State remains probably their top choice if available...here's the article in today's Tennessean (the nashville newspaper)http://www.thetennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051128/SPORTS06/511280341The official word for Music City Bowl invite won't come until Sunday though.[Edited on November 28, 2005 at 8:53 AM. I heard on the news this morning that NCSU officials confirmed that there would be a team in San Francisco over the holidays but wouldnt confirm whether it was football. They said they are going to delay an anouncement until after the ACC championship. i could have missed something though, i was only half watching/listening while i was getting ready this morning
11/28/2005 8:58:47 AM
i might would go to TN
