Just got finished watching an episode of Good Times that delt with whether God existed.Do you think it's possible to have such a conversation on a sitcom now?

of course it is possibleif anything, MORE is allowed on TV these daysthe real question isare any of the many shitty, shitty sitcoms that pollute the airwaves today gonna have the balls to do itto which the answer is prob a resounding 'no'however, family guy doesnt have serious discussions on things but it is a sitcom and it does rip religion pretty consistently.

rip religion = an actual discussionGood Times delt with some heavy shit. It was a good show.

right i was simply pointing out if it is possible to talk shit, it would follow that it is possible to talk seriousand like you say, it was a good show, those dont really exist anymore. as bad as fox can be, i would see it on a fox channel before anywhere else. FX has some of the best programming on tv right now.starved deals w/ some pretty heavy shit, they seem like a show that could tackle the subject.

I think it's much easier to rip religion these days in public than it is to have a real discussion about it. It's pretty much the opposite of how it used to be. In the past, you bascially DID NOT rip religion on TV.
