I don't know if this is old news (i don't spend that much time on TWW and i'm too lazy to use the search) but I thought some of y'all might be interested in seeing these pictures...For those of you that don't know, those are 14 of the most desirable Ferrari's ever made and many avid Ferrari collectors are lucky if they have just one of those cars. That collection is worth over $20 million. In the early 1990's a 250 GTO sold for $15,000,000, they're worth around $7.5 million now. In 2002 a 330 TRI/LM sold for $6.5 million. A 250 GT LWB California Spyder (also known as the Ferris Bueller's day off car) was purchased for $1.25 million last year. And that's just 3 of his Ferraris. The rest of the older Ferraris are each worth in excess of 1 million dollars and the newer cars, though not as valuble, are still worth over $100,000 each (some well over 100k) and are still very desirable automobiles.

Is that Daytona a convertible? I can't tell.
11/19/2005 3:19:55 PM
wow so which one is the least expensive that whole collection and Ferrari didnt "let" him buy an Enzo? hmm
11/19/2005 3:32:49 PM
I'd bet the 308 is the least expensive. They go for under 50 large
11/19/2005 3:37:55 PM
mmmmmmmF40mmmmmm
11/19/2005 3:42:56 PM

if he is after rare and collectible ferraris, the only possible reason he would have a 308 if it was an actual car from the magnum p.i. show, and that dosent exactly fit with his collections themealso, an enzo wouldnt fit in, yeah they are new and super expensive uber-ferraris, but even wyclef has one. not that special compared to the others.[Edited on November 19, 2005 at 6:00 PM. The inclusion of the 355 instead of a 360 or 430 in this picmeans the pictures are probably at least a few years old, which would mean the Enzo didn't exist at the time.
11/19/2005 6:09:53 PM
also, you might've had to buy X-number of Ferraris NEW from Ferrari...most of those cars are old, and he probably bought them from other places.
11/19/2005 6:15:36 PM
Such a shame they will probably never be driven as intended.
11/19/2005 6:23:45 PM
he owns an enzo now, so those have to be at least a few years oldi'm pretty sure he has an f50 as well
11/19/2005 6:56:31 PM
There's an F50 in the last pic2nd from left, far left, respectively.
11/19/2005 7:37:28 PM

The picture of the four newer cars are not Ralph Lauren's. There is also no 355 in that pic. Its a TR, an F40, a 288 GTO, and an F50. When I get bored, I'll get you a link to the real owner of the newer cars.

In this picture, what's the name of the one with the clear bubble over the carbs?
11/19/2005 11:22:30 PM

^^ It's not an LM, I think only one was made. I'm not even sure it's a 330
11/20/2005 5:29:11 PM
^I stand corrected. It is a Ferrari 250 TR that was driven by Phil Hill and won Le Mans in 1961.Here are some more pictures of the car taken from the Ralph Lauren exhibition at the museum in Boston:

11/21/2005 9:29:44 PM
That's quite a nice car
11/21/2005 10:04:02 PM
Its nice when all you see is engine without all of the electrical wiring and accessories you find in engine bays today. There is nothing more beautiful than 12 velocity stacks.

I sure am glad I bought all those Polos now.

Magnum PI started in 80, the Fiero didnt come out until several years later. Must be a Fiero in the show.
