DSI Comedy Theater welcomes MARK JACOBSON, owner and commercial voice of Mark Jacobson Toyota (formerly Toyota of Durham) as our guest monologist for MISTER DIPLOMAT this Friday November 18th. Rumored to have special gifts for the lucky audience members, Mr. Jacobson has not confirmed whether or not he will bring his talking dog to the show. See for yourself this Friday night at 9:30PM, $8 ($6 with student ID).

Each Mister Diplomat show consists of monologues, generally performed by a local guest celebrity, followed by connected scenes, fully improvised by the members of Mister Diplomat. There are two halves of the show, each one inspired by a different audience suggestion. See improv comedy at its most free, fast and furious funny.

Directions to DSI Comedy Theater:
Take I-40 W to 15-501 S. Take 15-501 S (DURHAM-CHAPEL HILL BLVD) which becomes E FRANKLIN ST. heading into downtown Chapel Hill. Follow all the way through Chapel Hill into Carrboro. When you enter Carrboro, the street veers to the right and FRANKLIN ST. becomes E. MAIN ST. Continue, staying in the right hand lane. Cross the railroad tracks and Carr Mill Mall is on the right. Drive behind the Mall and you will find the DSI Comedy Theater entrance on the dock behind Elmo's Diner.

His commercials are the most ridiculous, shticky things on television. He spends his advertising money on cheap visual tricks for talking dogs. He has a number of catch phrases that make no sense and both a funny voice and appearance. Couple that with the fact that a hilarious group of improvisers are going to turn his musings into a bonafide comedy show, and you've got fucking MAGIC on stage for a mere six bucks.

Mark Jacobson has the most well-known local television spots, and we're going to have him tell personal anecdotes as a basis for the improv comedy from MISTER DIPLOMAT. We can't wait to hear true-life Mark Jacobson stories and maybe get to know the man.... behind the talking dog.
