holy shit.it's like someone took Nile, Ion Dissonance, Meshuggah, Yes, satan's left nut, threw it in a blender, baked it for a few years, marinated it with liquid genius, then grilled it to a beefy golden brown. this shit is insaaaaaaaaane[Edited on November 15, 2005 at 8:40 PM. Reason : definitely one of those ones that is impossible to comprehend on the first listen]

yeah lord worm's vocals arent the best, but they arent horrible and they are very varied. his growl is a bit strained, but he makes up for it with chaotic range and charismaand flo mounier's drumming is quite possibly some of the best i've heard, he's got everything i want in a metal drummer...hell, any drummer...blazing speed (250+ bpm blasts, etc), heavy jazz influence, an ear for composition, polyrhythm mastery, creativity, energy, brutality and power...damn.and the guitar work is nothing short of incredible. at times powerfully melodic, at others brutally heavy, at others blazingly fast, at others tastefully full...and the acoustic work is beautiful. i'd have liked it if they'd have put a little more of it on the album.and overall, they come together like no other...the composition is ingenius. their style lies somewhere in between Ion Dissonance's pure chaos and energy and Meshuggah's philosophic structure and maturity. as soon as the album ended, i walked over to my cd player and clicked it back to track one and now i'm assaulting my head with it again...and probably will a third time as my level of sobriety decreases[Edited on November 15, 2005 at 9:15 PM. cryptopsy are impressive musicians, but god they got old quick. you can only take so much of that crap. i remember when my old band played with them...the gay ass lead singer had a fan to blow his hair, so he would look cool.
