after i informed the guy his car was a ka24de, head looks just like it and the cars auto so i was under the assumption he swapped in a ka24de for his ka24d anyway here's his pissy ass response:

Look here dumbass a ka24d is what came in it I got a front clip from japan
that was a 93 silvia it had a nonturbo sr20de in it. The ka24de came in a 91
through 97 240sx and it came in a altima and in a pickup truck. My motor is
an sr20de. Shit tell me what I got what the hell is wrong with all you
dumbass little punks. All u got to do is look on the block at it will tell u
the motor u have. Writh me speculating shit. Still got it for sale but want
sell it to any dumbass like u. Why would I want to put a motor with less hp
in it.

an auto tranny with the high revving sr20de but im guessing that im wrong.
also if im not mistaken your car had a pig nose bumper on it indicating it
was a ka24d not a de with the sohc but whatever.

#1 why would you go through the trouble of the swap and not get a turbo
#2 any car w/ 4 pistons needs to have a manual to be fun imho
#3 the factory ka would probably have been a better choice for an auto due to torque etc.

if it's a pig nose, it's a ka24e...sounds like the guy was a moron...who the fuck would pay for a sr20de swap? you're basically putting in a weaker engine with less torque. as for the manual thing...well some people are scared of shifting their own gears...others just dont want manuals...i mean it really is a personal preference thing.

who would put a non -det sr20 in? It's like the same as a ka powerwise - just harder to get parts for in the US, and the block is less durable?...what a tard.

on a side note:IMO KA24DE-T is the better than SR20DE-T

well im not makin fun in that way.. just saying if he did the sr swap get the sr tranny with it too while he's at it dont keep it auto. ka24de is a better block for the turbo setup just need to get better pistons, the rods are good for 350hp easy.
