rough idle, even after warmed up. It won't stall, just feels like it might. AIr leak? Fuel/air ratio? What ya thinK?

how about you tell us what year

vaccum

When cold, does it fast idle, or is idle too low? IAC not working properly? Otherwise, I'm with stone on this one...somewhere, there's some false air coming in.Unless you have a leaky injector, and I seriously don't think this is your issue.

i had a 92tt and had vaccum leaks every year that didnt show up until it got cold. usually a cracked tube. i did run into a bad gasket on the intake manifold. run a vaccum test.[Edited on November 14, 2005 at 12:31 PM. Reason : had not have]

1986, yea I was thinking leaking air. So I should start at the vac and follow lines? any easy way to find leaks?

get a vaccum gauge. mine shows what the prob is on the dial. ex. intake leak, timing prob....

is that a standard feature on a vac gauge?

They have ranges that usually have a definition on them. The gauge diagnosis usually holds true for an unmodified engine in otherwise good mechanical condition.Throw a modified cam in there and all that shit goes out the window.I can and do work on Z31's and I can look at it if you want. I'm pretty cheap too...PM me if you'd be interested in my services.
