everytime i go to open itunes on my computer now an error pops up saying itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close and you have the option to send the error report and all. I have completely removed itunes and reinstalled it many times and the same message still pops up. I would love to have itunes working again. Any suggestions/help? Thanks.

probably might have to delete the itunes.xml file and any itunes folder remaining in the C:\Program Files\ directory after you uninstall to totally get rid of itand then re-install it.

by rebooting do you mean reloading windows? or do you mean rebooting. also, if you deleted all your itunes files without reinstalling it... it's not going to work.

rebooting, reloading? what's the difference? I mean sticking the cd that comes w/ the laptop in, wiping it clean and making it like it is brand new, so whichever one that is . and, yeah i did reinstall after i had deleted everything.

wiping the whole thing clean is called reloading windows or reformatting. rebooting is when you turn the computer off and then turn it back on again. you can probably fix your problem without having to go to the trouble of reformatting your computer[Edited on November 13, 2005 at 4:10 PM. Reason : ie there is a difference]
