11/8/2005 4:33:24 PM
maybe its easy to steali mean those old toyota previas used to be pretty high and who the hell would want to drive that
11/8/2005 4:38:50 PM

'91 Sentra? Someone oughta tell jackleg to keep an eye on his ride...

I'd like to see a list that goes more by the bodystyle than the actual year. I think that would be a more accurate measurement.

I was pretty amazed at the average age of these cars. Then again, there are a lot of '90s models that I would much rather have than the newer models so I can see how that works. Especially the older Toyotas. (Early '90s 4Runner makes a hot offroad rig.)

it is because it is so easy to take out the window on a honda
11/8/2005 5:14:40 PM
^True. I had the stereo stolen out of my locked '91 Accord with absolutely no signs/damage from forcible entry. I guess I should be grateful they didn't take the whole damn car.

lol, that list is laughable. Cept for the ram and the f150.
11/8/2005 11:35:04 PM
the more things change, the more they stay the same... the old Camries & Accords will forever be on there

^ They are easy to steal, easy to strip or fit in with regular traffic while joyriding, easy to ditch (an abandoned $20k car sticks out like a sore thumb), and last but not least... high demand for parts. Ivan those old Mopar minivans are some of the easiest cars ever to steal.

I think the reason that the pickups are on there is because alot of them have the rear sliding glass window. It is soooo easy to get in those you can just pop em open w/ a screwdriver. I found that out on my truck when I locked the keys in it, right after that I got one of those fancy motion sensing alarms installed. Since then I have helped 3 different guys get in thier locked out of trucks with a little flick of the flathead.

^^i think you are right on that. but i also think in addition for parts, they are sent south.

I heard a lot of the Accords and Civics around the mid 90's you could open with by blowing compressed air into the lock.Something like cutting a tennis ball in half and placing it around the lock and give it a firm hit in the center.Probably an urban myth.
