well even though u hate eminems mainstream stuff u still take the time to go out and purchse/download/borrow his album to listen to the 2-3 emo tracks he puts on there. if you put in that same effort for for alot of the other rap artist on the scene u'd be more than pleased with what u find, but u do get tons of credit for trying though and not dimissing the rest of rap. shoot me a pm/im and i'll put u on to the stuff that gets me through those days.

i've got his album with that song (porno star) on it, im just saying dont comment on one song and intimate that thats his standard of music. the above post is much more reasonable and i agree to a degree. some guy i knew had the newer em cd so i wanted to hear it (i liked the first few but dont own any). he'd skip through any non-radio song (few exceptions but they were on satelite so its kinda the same thing), pissed me off.

if you have his album u should know most of his tracks are non-conventional and/or very emotional.10 minutes, survivor, walk with me, calm down (that's over 1/3rd the cd time wise).nobody is going to have an album full of songs that make u cry. like i said earlier the same way eminem has "ass like that" buddens has "porno star" so stop listening to eminem if your applying this if your single sux than your album is garbage formula. to me joe budden raps with alot more convition , hunger and emotion than anyone i've heard in a while and he does it extremly well esp considering he makes about 1/100th of what eminem makes.

I dunno if I would include Aesop Rock on a list of emcees who really throw a lot of emotion into their songs... he's a phenomenal rapper, one of my absolute favorites, but most of his lyrics are too random and all over the place to get a lot of emotion out of them. His delivery is so candid, he's great at emphasizing key phrases, and he has some awesome metaphors, but his style is so motormouth that I don't get so much emotion from it as just envisioning him kicking back, flipping off some tight freestyles on his songs. Except for the occasional track like No Regrets where he's actually telling a coherent story throughout the song.
