I'm trying to get into some TV shows that everyone seems to like, since the stuff I really watch that is still on is Gilmore Girls and some reality shows but I'm getting tired of the whole reality thing.


I've tried watching Veronica Mars, Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy. I haven't been able to get into any of them. I like Grey's Anatomy but it's too much like ER, I don't give a crap about medical drama I just want the drama between the characters on the show.

yeah that's one I've been meaning to watch but I have no idea when it comes on. I also want to watch Lost since I think I'd like that one, but I have to start from the beginning, and the OC. A question for all the "House M.D." folks...

Is that show as bad as the commercials make it out to be? From the commercials you'd think that every episode is the same:

Guy comes up with a controversial way to treat a patient.
No one agrees and they all give him hell.
He screams something about how the person will die if they don't listen to him.

This is the formula for every commercial I see. You'd think that either:
1) He is always right. The patient almost always survives due to his controversial treatment so the other doctors should just shut up after a few weeks of this.
2) The other doctors did shut up after a few weeks, but the patients are not on board. The same patients that wouldn't know standard proceedures from the controversial. See where I'm going?
3) He is wrong most of the time and the patients die. In which case he would just be fired/lose his license.
4) He is right about 50% of the time. Still enough to get him fired for his voodoo.

^ i find it enjoyable to watch, its kinda a mesh of all those things, but i still find it interesting to watch. lotta trial and error in the ones ive watched. i think where it breaks down is that im not a doctor so i just have to agree with him when he's like...oooh high blood calcium, thats indicitive of this but ALSO could possibly maybe just a wee bit be....THIS.

i saw Freddie when it was the Halloween one...I thought it was cute. But, the ending was so expected. It's okay though.

I haven't seen it for the past few weeks, but I guess Desperate Housewives is a guilty pleasure.
