I've had my crappy little nokia phone for a few months now and I've always made a point to take care of the battery. However the last two times it's only lasted one day.

I always wait until the battery is almost dead before I recharge and I only leave it plugged in for about an hour which charges it. Is this correct?

depends on what kind of battery you havem you don't have to worry about waiting until its dead if you ahve a Li-On...they have no memory.

Pop off the battery cover to find out what kind you have

If you need a new one, order it off eBay for <$10, maybe even <%5

actually, I just checked something. I used my girlfriends crappy generic cell phone charger one day. It has twice the voltage output as the one that came with my phone. Think that ruined it for ever?

Yeah it's Li-ion
