not even dressed out..that sucks

that's what happens when you have a coach who doesn't play rookies and a gm that loaded the team with 7 guards.
11/1/2005 8:52:11 PM
and when you suck compared to NBA talent.
11/1/2005 9:11:06 PM
hey STFU, nc state is the best team EVAR!!!1

How long can they wait before they decide whether to send him to the NBDL this year or not?I mean, it doesn't look like Jules is going to make the roster this year--not only are they pretty well set at the guard spot, but he didn't show much during the preseason either.
11/1/2005 9:16:11 PM
I never expected him to amount to shit in the league anyway
11/1/2005 9:33:14 PM
n/m my question. It looks like the NBDL works the same way as minor league baseball--players can rotate back and forth between the two.
11/1/2005 9:40:57 PM
how many spots do they have on the roster / how many players trying for those spots?
11/1/2005 9:46:47 PM
NBA teams get 12 active players and 3 reserves. Hodge is one of the 3 reserves, and could rotate to active if someone is hurt or to NBDL for game experience.

It could end up being a good thing. I'd rather play NBDL ball and work on my game than ride the bench. It's the same pay either way.
11/1/2005 10:35:32 PM
Yeah, I agree.Especially with so many younger guys entering the league, it makes sense to have a way for them to get playing time even if they're not ready for the roster yet.

hey, Nene got hurt already, good news for Hodge, now we just gotta take care of Brees
11/2/2005 1:37:41 AM
^yes, b/c Hodge is a power forward
11/2/2005 8:09:18 AM
if nene's hurt and out.. one of 3 reserve can be in roster. Hodge can gain 50lbs and play for PF
11/2/2005 8:11:54 AM
11/2/2005 8:24:28 AM
the NBA sucks...dont watch it
11/2/2005 10:40:32 AM
i didnt know people actually cared about the NBA. Hmmm.....strange
11/2/2005 11:12:31 AM
Hodge is dressed in a sports coat on the sideline tonight.I dont know exactly what is going on.The NBA used to allow 12 active players and 3 inactive ones...this year they got rid of the injured list, but i assume you can keep 15 players on your roster still but only 12 active for each game...Nene Hilario is out for the season with a torn ACL, so their is an open roster spot for either Hodge or Kleiza...
11/2/2005 11:47:18 PM
It's the same, 12 active and 3 inactive.I was sure they'd activate one of them tonight...but either way, neither one is heading to the NBDL at the moment, just because they need both in practice.
11/2/2005 11:48:40 PM
I don't much follow the NBA, but just a question:This Linas Kleiza guy, where did he play, what kinda player was he, is he a guard also?
11/3/2005 8:38:33 AM
^he played at Mizzou, he is a power forward, i think he is 6'9", 6'10"ish, we actually recruited him hard to come to NC State, he chose Mizzou over us at the last minutehe is a big, strong white guy, left after his soph year, can face the basket a little bit, probably needs to work on his quickness to ever be relevant in the NBA
11/3/2005 8:43:06 AM
thanks
11/3/2005 8:45:35 AM
at least hes following the nba dress code. he looked real good in his sports coat
11/3/2005 9:16:59 AM
http://www.nba.com/nuggets/news/nene_injury_update_110205.htmlNene inactive, Kleiza activated.
11/3/2005 11:32:30 AM
i would say that dermarr johnson needs to get hurt again......but thats mean as hell, esp considering how he got hurt

11/4/2005 1:21:19 AM
it is sad. daniel ewing went second round and is already getting significant minutes
11/4/2005 3:03:35 AM
I don't know that this is a commentary on Hodge's talent level. For a team already loaded with experienced guards, they can bring him up slowly. And to use the 20th pick, they must have seen something they liked...
