Just wondering if theres anyone here going tomorrow and anyone have any suggestions. I am a Sophmore in Meteorology, but Junior at State as I transfered from a different school. I am no where near ready for a job so I dont quite have a resume ready yet, but should I still go just to get information?? I dont want to go and make a fool out myself.

You can still go and find out information about which employers will be recruiting you in the future. Perhaps you are interested in an internship? This would also be an opportunity to find our more about those. I would recommend you at least walk through... it will at least give you the exposure to the process so that when you are ready, you will have been to a fair before.

Yes, I would definately be interested in going for information on the companies as well as information on internships. I am interested in seeing whats out there. Im just worried because I keep getting emails saying be prepared and know about each of these companies and come prepared with a well written resume if your in the job market. Well I still have at least 2 years before I get my degree.

Go to it. I graduated in meteorology in May and i remember going to the fair. you don't have to be ready for a job or have a resume...just go and get info and stuff. i'm sure the guy from accuweather will be there... after talking to him, i knew i didn't want to work with them..so go for info and to get a feel for different jobs...and FYIthe next student chapter AMS meeting is going to be about internships...so if you don't go already, you may want to go[Edited on November 1, 2005 at 4:43 PM.
