Since we spend so much time bitching on here, let's list some positives. What are your favorite plays this season?Mine:1) Hudson pass breakup/Heath INT against GT2) Clark's seam route that split the safeties for an 80-yard TD against GT3) Brown's 61-yard run against SMUHonorable mention:-Hudson's forced fumble on the opening kickoff against EKU-Davis's deep TD passes against UNC and GT

^Hoyte's FF, but yeah that was sick. You pretty much covered the best ones. Marcus Hudson's block on Tramain's punt return against Wake was NASTY. I'm gonna nominate Blackman's run for a TD against VT and the fake punt against VT. The run was pretty good cause he broke some tackles then outran their defense, and I had no idea what was going on during the fake punt until he was 20 yards down the field.

Was it Hoyte? My bad. The only reason it didn't make my top list was because it was against EKU.I'd also consider Stone's bullet to the end zone against Wake. And yeah, I forgot about the VT plays since that seems like it was so long ago now. The flea-flicker and the fake punt were beautifully executed that day.
10/31/2005 8:37:12 AM
Hook and ladder option near the end of the VT game.
10/31/2005 8:56:24 AM
flea flicker
10/31/2005 9:14:58 AM
definitely the field goal against VT when we were down 7 in the closing minutesThat let me know to look elsewhere for good football this season, so i attribute that single play to increasing my overall enjoyment of college football this year

rallydurham, are you stupid? We've been over that sooo many times. If Hudson doesnt run into the kicker, we have 3 min. to get down the field and score a TD to win.....we almost did it in 1. It was the right call.
10/31/2005 10:27:01 AM
nah, you're still wrong.poor decision.
10/31/2005 10:27:46 AM
#1 Ref catching the punt one handed
10/31/2005 10:37:49 AM
^^ you were already pwnt in the other thread by many who explained your bad math.dont ask for it again.
10/31/2005 10:44:44 AM
you must be confusedthe math given in the other thread, supported my argument.kicking the FG was a poor choice.
10/31/2005 10:46:12 AM
Funny thing is. If that play happened right now given that Amato is no longer the God he was to TWW still in September there are probably 20 threads calling for his head about a call like that.I said it in the stands, watching SportsCenter the next day, and now. It was the wrong call..V and for the record you can throw stats and numbers at me until you are blue in the face. Watching the way the game transpired and seeing how we were able to inconsistently move the ball yet NEVER finish a drive I felt MUCH more comfortable on trying to convert a 4th down from the 30 (or whatever) then drive 80 yards for a TD... but this has been covered BILLIONS of times so I'll leave it at that..[Edited on October 31, 2005 at 10:56 AM. ^^ the math that you THOUGHT was good math and supported your 'point' was actually shit and was shown as thus.So yes, the math showed your point, but your point and the math was shown to be shit.you were the one that was confused. and pwnt.
10/31/2005 10:54:11 AM
In any case, that wasn't the worst case of clock management this season anyway. That honor goes to completely blowing our drive at the end of the first half against UNC and failing to get any points out of it.But that's not the point of this thread.
10/31/2005 11:00:24 AM
you are incorrect.poor decision at the time.poor decision in hindsight.poor current analysis by you.
10/31/2005 11:01:02 AM
hey i've got an ideain the "best wolfpack plays this season" thread, stop bitching about a play you thought was stupiddo that in the other 400 football threadsoh waityou already haveso just stop already and let fans enjoy what their team HAS done for them this season
10/31/2005 11:05:50 AM
then just agree with me or ignore the postdont try to say its incorrect when clearly it isntand it was my favorite play so it is on topic.[Edited on October 31, 2005 at 11:08 AM. Reason : a]

the reggie davis run where he bowled a vt db was great too
10/31/2005 12:28:51 PM
The official's one-handed catch on that punt by Deraney wasnt a play but damn if it wasnt awesome.
10/31/2005 12:41:16 PM
give that fella a jersey and sign him up today.... I'll take it
10/31/2005 12:43:12 PM
That thread is not a "pwn" by any stretch of the imagination. Fact of the matter was that with a TD were are at worst tied (assuming field goal) and in much better position then with a FG and 4 point deficit. If you want to argue math: Being down by 4 points doesn't win any popular sporting event outside of golf.It was a stupid decision and a waste of a scoring opportunity. If you can't trust your team to pick up 4-2, then how do you expect them to be able to drive and win?I
10/31/2005 1:46:37 PM
GOD DAMN YOU PEOPLE, SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE FIELD GOAL. We lost, we suck, Rallydurham is a total fuck, thats that.

it might be on redterrors.com still, but i just saved it to my computer after the game
10/31/2005 3:15:06 PM
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Toney Baker's TD run against EKU where he ran over the safety. He just blew the guy up.
11/2/2005 1:07:32 PM
Hahahaha, yeah, that was sweet. It was great to watch Baker deliberately turn away from the open field and just run directly into (and over) the safety.
11/2/2005 1:11:54 PM
The numerous open-field, wrap-up, solo tackles by Hoyte and Tulloch this year. They don't make many memorable plays, they just tend to stop the other team from making them.
11/2/2005 3:09:10 PM
The ones where we didn't have any penalties.
11/2/2005 3:17:48 PM
I liked that 2-yard swing pass on 3rd and long. But seriously, gotta love Manny's blocked punt.
11/2/2005 3:51:18 PM
^i would agree with that, but we ran it every time on 3rd and long last year, so it just wasn't as exciting.
11/2/2005 4:08:25 PM
The play against GT where we had 2 flags and a hat.
11/3/2005 12:11:39 AM
the paper airplane that almost went to the other side of the stadium
11/3/2005 4:27:54 AM

^ A lot of people on here hated about the "flagation" remark, but I thought it was pretty funny.
11/3/2005 1:44:02 PM
hahaha...it was the TRIFECTA OF FLAGITATION!! Dicky V in the house that night
11/3/2005 1:47:34 PM

10/12/2014 1:04:18 PM

10/12/2014 1:09:41 PM
in all seriousness... the hit TY McGill put on that poor fellow last night was a highlight play.
