GRAND DIVERSIONARY TACTICSThese indictments are akin to Clinton's indictment over lying about having sex. Mere trivialities when compared to the real crimes committed by this administration (ie, complicity in 9/11, lying to go to war in Iraq, high treason, etc.).Even if the NWO chieftans "sacrifice" Bush or a few of his minions, it means nothing. The globalist elite will just install a new puppet and Bush/Rove/whoever will probably be given a pardon like Nixon.A lot of people are starting to realize that this government is MASSIVELY corrupt. So, the elite have allowed a "show trial" such as this to give people the impression that something is being done about the corruption. When in reality, nothing of any significance is going to be done. The war in Iraq is going to continue. Wide open borders will continue. The police state will continue to grow. Well, they're not exactly indicting anybody over starting an illegal war or intentionally decieving the public in order to go to war. BTW, according to the Constitution, war must be declared by Congress. Just another reason why this war is illegal.[Edited on October 28, 2005 at 1:49 PM. Reason : 2]

rove's still being investigated. We, or at least I, am not hoping for him to be indicted if he didn't break the law. If he did, he should be. I'm glad that fitzgerald isn't rushing the process.

10/28/2005 1:50:32 PM
haha...yay!! you missed the point!!!
10/28/2005 1:53:15 PM
Well, as DG said, Rove is still being investigated. They may extend the grand jury. Also, Libby may just spill his guts (might not too). If anyone committed a crime, then take them away. If not, then as DG said, don't indict. My prediction stands at I still don't think Libby will be the only one charged when everything is all said and done. However, if I'm wrong when it's all over, I won't be mad, and I'll be ok with being wrong on that.
10/28/2005 1:56:00 PM
by the way, I don't know about anyone else, buti am NOT happy about this. People in Our fucking administration has committed some serious crimes here, and our national security has been endangered. It's not something to celebrate.Teh only thing good is if whoever did it gets punished.
10/28/2005 1:58:47 PM
No, I didn't miss the point. The left really doesn't have much to do in this situation, as the prosecutor is a republican. Of course he's not out to get anyone; if anything, he's a little to 'liberal' in his treatment of these people. And Rove is still being investigated, so don't be so sure some nefarious shit won't happen. Of course the left is after them, this leak was a petty bullshit thing to do for revenge. It's the left's chance to have all these documents about the war planning unsealed, which will give them more firepower against the administration. It's not about getting Rove fired, even though that would be a plus-- it's about an opportunity to show exactly how fucked up the march to war really was.
10/28/2005 1:58:59 PM
exactly. and it's not just the left, there are republicans who want to know as well, and independents, and... well you get it[Edited on October 28, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Reason : .]

I was talking with someone about this yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided that if someone had to take the fall, it was gonna be someone of a lower profile (Libby and not Rove or Cheney), they'd get that person slammed, they'd get a slap on the wrist in a Martha Stewart prison, meanwhile his family will be "well cared for" until Scooter finishes his "hard time."Scooter Libby is not an idiot, he's a very calculating guy. I doubt that he slipped up and no one else did.[Edited on October 28, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Reason : -]

According to Alex Jones...This is a big theatrical display. Theater. The indictments are over lying about crimes...NOT THE CRIMES THEMSELVES. This means that no big issues or big shots get implicated in anything.

^ x 7 It's people like you that are the reason our nation is so divided on partisan lines. You wouldn't allow anyone who is a democrat to not be up in arms about Rove not getting indicted. Grow the fuck up and learn that it's not always about party lines. Some of us just want to see justice served and get the liars and crooks out of office.I'll admit that I don't like the policy of this administration, I've never made that a secret. At the same time I would never ask for anyone in Washington to be put in jail for something that they didn't do. the people who lost in this are valerie plame, joe wilson, the american people, and so far, scooter libby.and obviously you, because you have the outlook on life that you do. I would be disappointed that they weren't indicted only if they did something wrong in the first place. Time will tell if this is the case or not, but so far they are in the clear so I would want no man to be wrongfully imprisoned.
10/28/2005 2:48:15 PM
I think that some liberals are celebrating too quickly. An indictment isn't a conviction. Conservatives are celebrating too quickly, too. Rove isn't out of the woods, yet. And regardless of what FrontPage magazine may have told you, liberals aren't expecting a Cheney indictment.[Edited on October 28, 2005 at 3:08 PM. Reason : .]

Erwin Chemerinsky, Duke Law professor: "What brought down the Nixon administration wasn’t the burglary itself, but the cover-up of it. What caused Clinton’s indictment wasn’t that he had an affair with Monica Lewinsky but he lied about it. It's consistent with what we’ve seen in scandals for a long time."
10/28/2005 5:41:16 PM
David Gergen, CNN's Lou Dobson [paraphrased] "Rove escaped indictment because of 11th hour information, which he provided only to Fitzgerald yesterday, which gave the prosecutor pause enough to continue the investigation rather than issue an indictment..."
