i emailed the ncsu athletic department about it. maybe they'll take it up with nike.
10/28/2005 9:25:00 AM
bah. nike sucks anyway. nobody should pay money for that overpriced crap.
10/28/2005 9:29:47 AM
I think everyone is missing the real question here:Who the hell would buy a shirt proclaiming a 15-year-old All-American Bowl championship?
10/28/2005 10:28:01 AM
it could just be that they came across a box of old shirts and thought they would sell them.because if im not mistaken, they have shirts printed for each team that way they can sell them right after the game.
10/28/2005 10:32:13 AM
This thread makes Brett Favre laugh.
10/28/2005 10:36:47 AM
yeah but why would they not destroy the incorrect ones?wait, maybe because they could sell them 15 years later hoping nobody would notice? maybe we're onto something here...
10/28/2005 10:37:18 AM
I work for the cotton exchange that makes tshirts for college teams... we dont make championship tshirts like that (the making with both teams winning) we have in stock the shirts of the different colors along with screens for both... once the game is over the factory works all throughout the night to get them made. Im sure other companys work in other ways but i doubt even for such a large company they would do that.[Edited on October 28, 2005 at 10:38 AM. Reason : fd]
10/28/2005 10:38:25 AM
I don't think Favre has anything to laugh about with a 1 and 5 record.
10/28/2005 10:39:40 AM
^^they're talking about t-shirts at the actual game.if you've ever been to the acc basketball tournament, they will have t-shirts for the winning team as soon as the game is over. they print up shirts for both teams. with the $20-$25 they charge per t-shirt they easily remake the cost of printing t-shirts for both teams and still make a nice profit.[Edited on October 28, 2005 at 10:46 AM. ^ Yeah, I got ahold of a Cubs 2003 NL Champions shirt that way I wish it was true Stupid Marlins
10/28/2005 12:35:37 PM
Keep in mind that this is Nike, it's not cost effective for them to print shirts that way, considering all of their garments are made and printed overseas.
10/28/2005 12:37:37 PM
This isn't some pre-game printed t shirt. It's part of that series of t-shirts that they're doing (Nike Men's Bowl Game Greats Tee), and as such was likely made recently.

double post.suspend.
10/28/2005 12:59:19 PM
hahahahahahaahaits like Hitler rewriting history... hardly anyone would notice probably, they would just see the shirt and be like "all american bowl huh? nifty"
10/28/2005 1:00:47 PM
i think what happened was nike did this hoping noone would notice. the shirts correspond to a series of throwback jerseys they released this year featuring recent star's college jerseys (brady, barry sanders, favre, etc). I guess they made the Favre throwback and then did the tshirts and didnt even bother to research them.
10/28/2005 1:06:37 PM
