This season is incredibly disappointing. That means a lot, considering the last season.

I've been re-visiting all the seasons of the show. I think the later half of Season 6 and Season 7 so far have been fine. I mean, sure it might be more appropriate to rename the show 'The Presidential Campaign', but honestly I don't mind the shift. It's a different side of the American political system that needs to be more discussed.

My only wish is that they would focus closer to 50% on both the Santos and Vinick campaigns.

I recorded this week's show and haven't gotten around to watching it yet. But if nothing else, I'm very curious to see how this whole thing is handled.

I guess the obvious idea is that Santos wins so the familiar faces can stay on the show, but then why not do the exact opposite since that's what people are expecting?

I'm intrigued. That's for sure.

i still can't believe a show this smart

1. uses so many fucking buzzwords/cliches from the last election like we're not going to notice

2. has a third term REP with a major party nomination....

^^ I'm of the belief that they're going to surprise everyone and have Alda win...it'd be like starting a whole new show.

Maybe they can bring back Ainsley Hayes.

For those looking for the 1st and 2nd seasons ($15.99):

Yeah I can easily see that happening.

Maybe if Santos wins, they can bring back Sam.

The show hasn't been nearly as genius since Aaron Sorkin left after the fourth season. I didn't see any of the fifth season (heard it was abysmal) but the last 2/3 of season 6 and so far season 7 have been really watchable TV.

I agree. Definitely noticed a change after Sorkin left.

But I've been pretty impressed with this season so far and what I saw of the end of last season.

Get the first three seasons on DVD. Rent them, buy them, whatever. If you like what you've seen since, you'll love that.

Well I just watched this past Sunday's episode.

I gotta say I'm definitely interested in this season. I'm liking where this is going.

I know they've got me hooked. I'll be tuning in each week.

Any thoughts on what's gone on so far?

It's been a pretty interesting episode so far.

Crazy that they're going to do it live for the west coast, too.

Anyway...moving on...did I just miss them, or were there no scenes for next week?
