they've gotta cost $texas

10/23/2005 5:57:54 PM
there is a sl500 that stayed the weekend at work with 325/30/r20 on the rears
10/23/2005 7:17:22 PM
fuckin stupid that when your car comes with 275s or some shit like that, you put 345s on them.those tires on the mustang look horribly out of place, and needless to say, the engine is the limiting factor there, nor the tires.same with an SL500. 325s on it are stupid. now if it was an SL55 AMG or an SL600, that would make sense.
10/23/2005 7:28:15 PM
^they are actually quite functional because those are the driven wheels on mustangs and considering how easy it is to lite up the stock wheels in these pony cars, 305+ might put the power the ground. engine is definetly not a limiting factor.
10/23/2005 7:33:54 PM
correct
10/23/2005 7:41:10 PM
^^^ idiot
10/23/2005 8:57:32 PM
to bad the SN-95 car in the above pic has got to be the slowest of all GTs since the early 80sThe tires are badass
10/23/2005 10:11:37 PM
something tells me its not quite stock
10/23/2005 10:12:14 PM
10/23/2005 10:12:33 PM
10/23/2005 10:13:35 PM
probably has a cutout
10/23/2005 10:14:58 PM
292$ Not that bad considering the size
10/23/2005 10:17:13 PM
hmmmm..... is the thing a drag car?
10/23/2005 10:42:33 PM
the fact is that mustangs, sn-95s in particular have some of the worst traction out of the box, period. any way to put more rubber on the road helps.

no point in wondering what it was you had wrote, cause only pussies back up and delete their posts like that.
10/23/2005 11:14:20 PM
thank you much - what are some stats on this car??
10/23/2005 11:19:50 PM
well being that the car has a cog driven procharger & a blow off valve... i doubt its slow
10/23/2005 11:23:07 PM
oh, hehe
10/23/2005 11:24:48 PM
its obviously not slow.. look at his license plate..
10/23/2005 11:28:16 PM
Fox bodies make me squirt
10/23/2005 11:28:52 PM
my bad he changed his setup 351W 4bolt 408, TFS R box intake, TFS R heads turbonetics T 76, T 56 1995 cobrai think the hp & tq numbers are in the 800s the turbo is good for 950 and that motor should easily be able to take all that on pump gas probably right around 14 psi
10/23/2005 11:55:39 PM
weaksauce
10/24/2005 12:46:57 AM
thats pretty stout
10/24/2005 12:59:38 AM
see, not quite stock

^ hey asshat... most superchargers that carry enough psi to require a blow off valve make a fuck ton of power. On a supercharger bovs aren't to keep turbine speed up its to prevent the pressure surge when the throttle is re-opened that causes detonation (this is an afterthought benefit for most turbo systems but not the primary).
10/24/2005 1:46:36 AM
notice big blower.. cog drive (doesn't let super charger slip therefor causes major pressure surges)& a bov to copensate for thatnotice typical ribbed belt & smaller blower & NO BOVso... when making fun of something make sure you have some idea of what you are talking about first
10/24/2005 1:54:25 AM
a bov on FI is no big dealthey all benefit no matter the psi
10/24/2005 2:02:48 AM
what i'm saying is it is not common practice and on a centrifugaly supercharged car it is indicative of big power. on a serpantine belt driven supercharger the only thing it does is prolong belt life. Cog drive is the only one it does anything significant on it. damn i hate people who think they're cool cause they purchased a bov to make their car go Whoosh
10/24/2005 2:06:06 AM
I think you're taking his post the wrong way. i think he was just genuinly surprised it had one since it is not common practice. i'm not reading that has an asshat comment.
10/24/2005 11:02:00 AM
actually I was makin' fun of it hahaanyways, i figure any proper centrif-supercharged setup would have a blow off system (since there's piping to work with and all) to keep from boost spiking
10/24/2005 11:05:12 AM
10/24/2005 11:10:52 AM
what are you talking about? I clearly said they all benefit from blow off systems. No where did I say that blow off systems are useless.
10/24/2005 11:21:40 AM
well, nevermind then. that wasn't how i read it.
10/24/2005 11:26:38 AM
communication breakdown, then"no big deal... they all benefit no matter the PSI" I took as meaning "surging is good lol"oops
10/24/2005 11:26:59 AM
you typically dont see drag radials installed for looks.
10/24/2005 11:40:03 AM
well who in the hell keeps a mustang stock
10/24/2005 2:32:49 PM
^ mexicans
10/24/2005 8:22:55 PM
no they put tassels on them and those really wide tiny wire wheels with funky backspacing.
