Im contemplating switching from computer science to information systems. Just not sure if I want to or not.what opportunities can I expect with each degree once I graduate?

csc is a much more respected degree - IS is a degree that would come from a small community college

are you attending ITT Technical Institute

if you know your shit, MIS and IS are well paid, respectfull and rewarding (as far as seeing your work accomplished) jobs in the industry.but nobody wants to hire you with one of those degrees unless you have 5+ years experiencei myself am doing csc degree and MIS will be my job

I'm glad somebody made a thread about this cause I was thinking about doing the same thing

Get your undergrad in CSC, get a Masters in MIS (or MIT, or whatever else you care to). If you really want some fun, find a support position in a univeristy while getting your Master's ... experience and degree rolled up into one.
