How is it that this movie was released like a month after SW Episode III but it is coming to DVD first?
10/18/2005 11:47:38 AM
because all the pretty colors are harder to put on a disc, duh!
10/18/2005 11:49:01 AM
probably because George lucas wants to make some 'minor' tweaks to a few scenes which will probably involve adding an Indiana Jones crossover to the plot.

Now I'll get to see the movie. I always wait for the DVD nowadays. $16 for 2 to go see the movie once or $16 to own the DVD. Not a tough choice.

I will be buying this today as I think it is the best Batman movie yet.
10/18/2005 12:33:52 PM
Yeah I'm going to pick up the 2-disc special edition later this afternoon
10/18/2005 12:49:31 PM
Rereleases of the first Batman series came out today too. I was originally going to just get the two Burton films, but Columbia House has the box set for only $4 more than I would have paid for the two and counts as 2 fulfillments, so I guess Im going to get the two shitty ones as well (Batman and Robin might see Ebay).Batman Begins 2-Disc Special Edition is $15.98 at Amazon.com, by far the best deal youre going to see anywhere...spend $25 and you get free shipping too I believe.

deluxe edition is deluxe
10/18/2005 4:28:01 PM
i know good and well i'll never watch the 2nd disc, just like i've hardly watched any of the other ones i own. the $15 version is good enough for me
10/18/2005 4:29:22 PM
If the Batman DVD came out with a webcomic of The Long Halloween or something like that, I'd buy the deluxe/platinum/whatever version.
10/18/2005 5:00:04 PM
Supposedly Coconuts has the 2 disc version for $21.99 and then a $5 mail in rebate to get it for $16.99. That's their website though - I don't know if thats in store (Cary Crossroads)
10/18/2005 5:31:35 PM
I just saw that the DVD does come with a comic...albeit it's not a graphic novel but it's something
10/18/2005 9:48:33 PM
so i'm looking at the little merchandise flyer that came with the dvd, and all i can say is wtf. who in their right mind would buy any of this shit? $125 for a sterling silver batmobile keychain? $95 for a miniature cowl? there must be some idiots in the world for them to actually turn a profit on this stuff
10/23/2005 5:52:26 PM
yeah...i'd pay 95 bucks if it was a lifesize cowl that i could wear..but not for a 6" miniature...the special features on disc 2 are pretty awesome. some really cool behind the scenes footage..it is amazing how they did some of the scenes
