black friday is that day after thanksgiving when all the jews, arabs, azians, and indians come out of hiding to snag up the best deals[Edited on October 5, 2005 at 3:45 PM. Reason : the ironic thing is that its "black" friday]

i like the design of the apple books better than any laptopthe OS, not so much
10/5/2005 5:54:29 PM
^^the price/portability is pretty nice (not that I could use an apple for anything other than fun)what notebooks come close to that ratio at normal selling prices?
10/5/2005 6:08:51 PM
averatec
10/5/2005 6:14:49 PM
You may be right. The lowest priced 12.1 inch Dell has is 1,150.But then again it is more powerful than the iBook counterpart.Whats interesting is if you go up to the 14" models, dell's go down in price by about 50% whereas the apple counterparts are more expensive. The smaller ones are more expensive to make i suppose. However its all moot since most smart shoppers jsut wait until Dell springs another deal and get the same 1,150 notebook for 750 or a more powerful one for the same price.
