Anyone have any experience with this company? http://www.cashforlaptops.com/They quoted me $310 for my Compaq Presario 3000 (60gig HD, 512mb, DVDROM/CDRW, 16"screen, P4 2.4 ghz)with a bad battery and cracked LCD. That doesn't seem to bad to me given it is a 2+ year old laptop with a very broken screen.Opinions?

i would say no, considering they asked me 3 questions about my laptop and told me it was worth $95, i sold it on ebay for $250

hahah this site is a joke. they quoted me $280 for a Dell Inspiron 8200 that was fully loaded which i sold for $900. i wouldnt take a chance with this thing, u can do better elsewhere IMO.

endoverender: If they're offering you that much I'd take it, that's a good amount for that machine with a broken screen. If it were me I'd only offer around $200 for it.

yeah, if legit, I would say this is a way to get some decent cash for old, outdated laptops that nobody wants, not when you're trying to sell a laptop with decent specs.

haha they quoted me 340$ for my Latitude D800

alright well, im gonna keep an eye on broken laptops on ebay for a day or two to see what the avg. selling price is. if it's not more than $300 cashforlap gets it.

obviously the site cant run if its not making money which brings the price downthink about it...it takes work to sell something, you get more money, but it takes workthey are taking the work part out of it, so you get what you put into it[Edited on October 5, 2005 at 10:03 AM. Reason : plus any site called cashforlaptops is gonna be shitty]
