What movie do you think has the best plot twist at the end? And I don't mean stupid shit like Scream where the ending makes no sense at all.My vote would have to be for Empire Strikes Back.

10/2/2005 5:46:44 PM
6th Sense is an obligatory answer here
10/2/2005 5:56:29 PM
I jokingly called the ending to 6th sense right after the scene changed.then later I was like o shit
10/2/2005 5:57:21 PM
Planet of the Apes is a much better obligatory answer.

10/2/2005 6:05:20 PM
OMG IT WAS HIS SLED???
10/2/2005 6:06:15 PM
All that was left after he found out was Luke falling down, the Millenium Falcon scooping him up and heading back to the Rebel Alliance, then Lando leaving for Tattooine.but yeah Usual Suspects is a good one, so is the original Planet of the Apes.[Edited on October 2, 2005 at 6:10 PM. Reason : ]

The Village had the worst surprise ending everMy g/f and I were watching the movie, and openly discussing the "surprise" because we thought it was part of the movie, and then come to find out, we weren't supposed to know that yet.

yea too bad ESB the surprise wasnt an ending otherwise that would def be my vote. se7en wasnt bad back when i saw it for the first time but now i def wouldnt say so, i dono.but definitely for biggest on screen plot surprise my vote is hands down darth vader being lukes fatherine. LUCKILY i watched it young and it had not been spoiled for me yet.my dad still says thats the best movie surprise hes seen as well. i guess with no internet and no leakage whatsoever (they kept the film under TIGHT wraps) pretty much no one outside of the film had even an inkling of the twist.

L.A Confidential....anyone remember that one ? Was a twist in the tail , what with crossing and double-crossing! The movie is a bit hard to follow - when you're in the cinema you kinda wish you had the remote in your hand so you can back up. BTW has anyone besides me ever done that in a cinema ? The dialogue is too soft and you try and reach for a remote.....THAT ISN'T THERE !

To those of you who have or will feel the need to post "I so predicted that..." or "That was so obvious..." ok that's wonderful, your awesome! We are all amazed!I tried to convince my little cousin that he should NOT watch Star Wars in Episode order. I think it totally ruins it if he does. However being 6 he can't understand not watching them in order, luckily he still doesn't really get that Anakin and Darth Vader are the same person, man kids are dumb. Also I would think Fight Club is a good one if when my friend had lent it to me he had not said "Hey I think it will really enhance your enjoyment of the movie if you know that...(proceeds to describe twist/surprise)" which I didn't really understand at first but pretty soon I was like...OMG what an A-hole.Sixth Sense definately got me the first time, but it has gotten to the point with Night's movies that you expect a "twist" so if you do, is it really a twist anymore?
10/3/2005 5:50:41 AM
Actually, I don't like it when movies claim to have surprise twist endings, cause then the whole movie you're looking for something and trying to figure everything out.And that being said, did anyone ever see...Basic? I think that's what it was called. With John Travolta? It had like, 500 plot twists, haha.
10/3/2005 10:58:14 AM
the problem with Basic was that it had Samuel L Jacksonbut he was only in flashbacks and supposed to be deadbut there's no way in hell he'd sign up to do a movie where he's dead and in flashbacks for the entire filmso the part with him at the end wasn't a big surprisethe entire caper and plan was a surprise but all in all, if you're like wtf is going one?! every 15 minutes...it gets old after a while
