Don't you just love all the old guys who work at hardware stores, shops, and auto parts stores? They seem to be the only ones who know their shit. My beater Mk III Supra hadn't been having trouble starting and we (my friend and I who both own the car together) had changed a bunch of shit on it in an attempt to troubleshoot. My buddy took it over to a shop up on Westgate road since he knew the owner, who is like 70 now. He immediately said "oh I've seen this about 20 times on these cars, it's the cold start injector." Turns out the plug on some sensor for the cold start system had come loose and now it fires right up. He didn't even charge for his time. Most of the people at auto parts stores are idiots as I'm sure everyone knows, but the NAPA and the Advance near my parents house both have old guys who work there. Those guys are just loaded with advice on how to do different jobs. I went to radio shack a while back and the one old guy helped me pick the right relay, wire, and other shit I need to wire up an air pump for my car. The old guys at Ace Hardware and other smaller stores are just about the only people who can give some worthwhile advice. It gives me hope that maybe there are some people in retail who are actually competent.

that should have been one of the first things you checked to troubleshoot a starting issue.

for real, especially on damn near any I6 or I4 toy motor.
