before the liberals start bitching at Bush for responding quickly to Hurricane Rita, assuming that he does so?

We all know that he loves Texas and white people.

well lets seewhen the hurricane was set to hit texas, he shows upwhen it was set to hit new orleans, he went to a fundraiser in cali

The question is, would he still have gone to Texas if the oracle hadn't said anything?
9/25/2005 3:16:10 PM
Uh-huh.I'd be curious to know what would have happened if Texas had been hit before NO.Which is to say, I think the main reason he got on the ball with Texas was because he saw how an NO-style performance would fuck him up.
9/25/2005 6:01:10 PM
I would fully expect the President, or anyone, to be over-prepared for what might happen in Texas, considering what they saw happen in NO. Learn from mistakes, and all that...

people already complained a long time ago about the emergency responders that were on call when whatever storm was heading to north carolinathere was a thread about iti dont know if they were liberals or just idiots

Uh, no. It was a fucking category 3 hurricane conveniently missing major population centers. No levies were broken, the flooding was reasonable and will have drained away all by itself within a few days. The latest hurricane didn't require federal help. The Governor had it covered. Hell, the people had it covered, the governor just helped. NO was not a hurricane, it was a massive disaster, NO ammount of effort on anyones part would have prevented more than a few of the deaths. If anyone remembers the hurricane response PLAN for a category 4 or above, it was to LOSE THE CITY, in those words. The city/county/state had a detailed plan for giving up and abandoning the city and anything in it to the waters. My point is Katrina was "special" and no other hurricane in the last 40 years warrants comparison.
