My laptop doesn't detect mic, so i can't record or chat. Mic is brand new, The sound card is SigmaTel . I unchecked mute on microphone option, but it still dosn't work.
Please suggest, Thank you

did you go to the recording portion of your sound volume preferences? there you can select to record from various inputs, and sometimes the mic-in isn't checked by default.
