ive got 2 things going on with my 99 wrangler sport. 1st when i put my left turn signal on it flashes properly when i DONT have my foot on the brake, but when the brake is pressed down it stays lit up...the second problem is that my AC will only work when its on the highest setting...it blows cold air and comes out of every vent but only on high not on any other level.i think it may just be some wires crossed up but im not really sure so im wondering if anyone is good with wiring or knows a good place to take it?

you have a bad LH taillamp bulb and a burnt up blower motor resistor or rheostatthread over

tail/brake lamp bulbs are difficultly level "dumb easy"blower motor resistors diff. depends on where it is but i cant imagine that in a jeep it would be much harder than doing the bulb- as far as price check with a parts store like carquest or napa. advance and autozone dont carry it, I went ahead and checked for you. even if you have to go to the dealer for the rheostat it shouldnt break the bank. sounds like to me that the turn signal switch is the light problem and that the blower problem is either the switch, or the resistor as op said. i'm not sure where it is on your jeep, but there is a resistor block, usually near the fan with four wires going to it. 1 output to the fan, and 3 inputs from the switch. jump a wire from the positive battery post to each of the three resistors and see if the fan turns at different speeds, if so, the switch is bad, and if not the resistors are bad. chryslers are notorious for burning up blower motor resistors.back to the turn signal, you have 1 filament for brakes and turn, so normally the brake light switch powers it, but when you hit the turn signal, contacts in the steering column switch break that circuit and connect it to the flasher on that side. usually what happensis that it gets all corroded and gunked up in the switch, there are about 6 or 7 contacts, so if you have a t-10 and t-15 torx driver, you can remove and dissasemble the switch fairly easily and clean it out and throw a ohm meter on there to check it. it will save about $100 for a new one
