I would be interested to see what sort of scale the executive department is working at...The GS maxes out at ~135,000 + benefits... in the DC area.Doesn't seem very fair.

how much was spent on the election campaign?
9/20/2005 5:53:41 PM
DUE TO AGE
9/20/2005 5:59:28 PM
Yeah I also remember it being 200k
9/20/2005 6:06:05 PM
^^^I heard something around 1.2 billion for the presidential election '04and a little under 3 billion on congressional elections '04Total to around 4 billion total, which is a good 1 biillion dollars more then prewvious elections...Which is a little confusing to me because the new BCRA (2002) bans "soft" money contributions. That's like 1/2 a billion dollars.

i dont get what the big deal is.......he is the leader of the #1 country in the world
9/20/2005 6:37:36 PM
and he gets paid less than even shitty rappers
9/20/2005 8:50:31 PM
How much does Halliburton pay him?
9/21/2005 7:58:44 PM
Well, no president should take the job for the pay. They should make enough money to keep them in nice suits, but money should not be the attraction to the job. If you think about it, presidential salary isn't really that important anyway. I mean he gets free transportation anywhere he goes, I'm sure they have a shit ton of maids in the White House cleaning up after him and doing his laundry, cooks making him food whenever he wants, etc.

if you ask a kid if they'd rather grow up to make half a million dollars a year or be presidenti bet most the kids would say president
9/22/2005 12:06:14 PM
I'd take the 1/2 mil any day, assuming that was just given to me and I didn't have to work...
9/22/2005 12:17:03 PM
well yesi think under those conditionsi'd take the half mill too
9/22/2005 12:23:52 PM
.5 mil for me. Fuck the public spotlight.
