I'm installed G2 Beta4 "Flippin' Sweet" a couple months ago and integrated it into my Wordpress blog using WPG2 Embedded (http://wpg2.ozgreg.com/) and it's, well, flippin' sweet. The G2 site seems to be down right now, flooded or /.ed I guess. Is the full version out now?

Joe you are at work way too early today

its fucking beautiful, but still has the fucking file lock problem that plagues every Gallery revision.

^^ haha, no - don't worry. I'm at work now, but when I posted that I was at the apartment, just rolling back into town from a 9 hour overnight train ride from Florence > Munich. You're the one posting at 2AM before you should be at work in a few hours. anyway, I meant to put some other links in that first post - here are the two G2 galleries I've done so far using Wordpresshttp://thalions.com/blogs/joe/wp-gallery2.phphttp://thalions.com/blogs/jimmy/wp-gallery2.phpand I'm going to install one here in the next couple days - http://www.thalions.com/blogs/alisha/as you can see, the end-user look and feel is pretty much the same at the most basic, navigational level. Now the users have the option to view "summary" or "detail" view for the albums/pictures so they don't have to look at view counts and titles and stuff unless they want to. But the backend and administration, themes, modules, etc is a whole new ballgame. Also, both of those galleries are using the same G2 base installaion. You can install G2 at your root level, then run the installer script as many times as you want, specifying different directories to make a new sub-installation, creating new galleries with completely seperate galleries/albums, administrators, users, etc but using the same base install so the additional footprint for each sub-install is very small.

it explains a workaround for the safe-mode restriction. I forgot what it was, but i have safe mode enabled on my servers and G2 runs fine. I think it involves a setting in .htaccess or something

I have it running. Gallery 2.0 - Holy Hand gernade or something like that. Pretty easy to setup and I have been running it for a couple of months. There are some bugs, but I like it.
