The 13 minutes of My Favorite Things is probably the most beautiful music I've ever heard.

MAn, by the sound of it, you'd think that Coltrane was the only jazz musician who ever existed.

All i hear from people "Hey you like jazz?" "yeah man, i love me some Coltrane"

I love some Coltrane, but slightly higher on my list are Parker, Davis, Gillespie, and Roach. Oh, and Cannonball Adderley wasn't too shabby either.

^man, rarely anyone i talk to less than 30 years older than I am even knows who Roach is. Oddly enough, Max is my cousin, his music is incredible.

^So fuckin true, great album. His new one London Flat, London Sharp isn't that bad either.

Anyone ever heard of Earthworks? Been listening to their Stamping Ground live album lately....Bill Bruford is a god on the drums.
