I have a Motorola v180 cel phone that's locked to Cingular and I have T-mobile service, so I'd like to be able to unlock it so I can use it. Anyone knows how or where....please help....thanks!!!

I don't know if this will still work if you no longer have cingular service, but send an email to SimUnlockCode@cingular.com and put the following info:ACCOUNT NUMBER: (off the bill)MOBILE NUMBER: ACCOUNT NAME : (you name)PHONE TYPE: (i.e. Motorola v180)IMEI: (on back of phone, under battery)REASON FOR REQUEST: (This seems to get Cingular to unlock it: CUSTOMER IS TRAVELING OVERSEAS AND WILL BE USING PREPAID SIM CARDS) Contact: (email address where they can email you the unlock code, or phone number)

Can they unlock it without physically doing anything to the phone?
