I think my mobo is a AGP 1x support. Will a AGP 8x card work on my 1x AGP slot?I currently have a Geforce2 MX200/MX400 in it.looks like this: (not 1.5v)[Edited on September 7, 2005 at 12:45 AM. Reason : s]

What's your motherboard and what's your card? I'd rather not guess..

youll need to find your mobo model and look it up. just bc it supports x1 doesnt mean it will support x8nope[Edited on September 7, 2005 at 5:52 PM. Reason : 4]

if you only have a AGP 1x slot, then a 8x AGP card will NOT work.Plus you'll fry the shit.Buy a new mobo.

and... if your mobo and cpu are that old, then you're probably not going to see any meaningful performance boost

AGP speed doesnt have anything to do with it, the card will simply operate at 1x.Form factor is though.
