I bet Wolfpack2k wet himself when he heard.
9/3/2005 11:24:32 PM
Whether or not you hate Bush, his first nominee isn't exactly an extreme-right wing crazy nutjob. He's a decent judge and I'm sure the next nominee will be too
9/3/2005 11:34:17 PM
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
9/3/2005 11:34:40 PM
We're screwed already.
9/3/2005 11:41:17 PM
I bet Bush nominates a Rhenquist type conservative for this role.

maybe bush will nominate a woman this time
9/4/2005 12:42:07 AM
I think Edith Jones, Edith Clement, or Janice Rogers Brown would be great! If he goes outside the judiciary, Harvard Law Professor Mary Ann Glendon would be the best choice!

Chief Justice Fermata has a nice ring to it.

The compassionate left, gotta love 'em. May Justice Rehnquist rest in peace. He did his best to curtail judicial activism despite the odds he faced on the SCOTUS.[Edited on September 4, 2005 at 8:41 AM. Reason : ]

All I have to say is that the GOP and Bush had better move heaven and earth to confirm his replacement before Jan 2007because they're sure as hell not gonna get SHIT after the new congress convenes[Edited on September 4, 2005 at 8:53 AM. Reason : s]

I would not be surprised if they try to get one immediately - like before First Monday. It would definitely be a rush, but I know Bush has to have thought about who he would nominate as Chief Justice.
9/4/2005 9:31:14 AM
I think the Democrats/Liberals are going to be in a bind now. What do they do if Bush nominates another conservative judge and they try and stall/filibuster the nominations? They are going to look even more obstructionist than they do now.
9/4/2005 11:32:00 AM
In that case, I'd advise them to investigate how and when the nominated justice uses his penis...
9/4/2005 11:37:32 AM
