I downloaded the SyncStation software at http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=us&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1_1_3_1_1&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10179&fid=6995&esi=true and hooked up my s710a via serial.the phone monitor shows the green check mark like its connected, but when i try to sync it tries for about 30 seconds and then I get the "Synchronisation Failed" message. Tried goodle...anyone have any ideas?

Hmm, reboot your computer first and make sure the com port the sync station is using is actually free. That software is notorious for either hogging or trying to take com ports that are unavailable.Worst case scenario, use BT.

^^ try actually reading the thread before typing douche^yeah i rebooted with the phone plugged in, read that on some forum. I know the port works bc it shows the phone as connected...I might have to buy a bluetooth dongle and try that.I remember I've always had problems syncing SE phones, or at least getting the connected initially

so i think its the serial cable thats screwing things up...maybe I don't have my com ports set right.the annoying this is my brother has this same phone and had no problem syncing with a serial cable.the only other thing I cen think of is services...i have disable a few of them, maybe syncstation depends on one of them
