I have this wireless router, and in one area of the house the signal is really low.
is there anything i can do to help this? like buy a new router ?

Try adjusting the directions your antenna(s) are pointing.

wireless antennas in general produce a better signal horizontally

i ran a 7' speaker wire jammed between the antenna and its mounting threads... no signal ---> very good signal
