I figured we needed another hurricane related thread but seriously...Who here works for a company that will match their charitable contributions? Mine will, and offered $2 for every $1 contributed by employees in a three-week span after the tsunami last year.
8/31/2005 11:39:27 PM
mine does: 1:1 ratio to various charities all year long.
9/1/2005 12:47:47 AM
my company, Northrop Grumman, just donated $2 million for the relief efforts, and is matching every dollar its employees donate.
9/1/2005 8:48:05 AM

9/1/2005 9:54:41 AM

9/1/2005 3:48:33 PM
my company only matches 33% on our 401K plan. But my yield since January has been 25%. We have a pretty strong stock.
9/1/2005 4:18:57 PM
Raytheon sent out an email about their millions of contributions, but said nothing about matching our personal contributions. BUT we can make payroll-deducted contributions.
9/1/2005 4:21:22 PM
^convenient.I love that RHD matches $1 for $1. I think they cap it at $1-2k for regular charities and $5k for colleges & universities. The $2 for $1 was a special thing for the tsunami, but I wonder if they might do it again for Katrina.
9/2/2005 8:11:56 AM
SEMC is matching 1 for 1 on top of what they've already donated to the efforts.
9/2/2005 8:56:26 AM

9/3/2005 1:23:09 AM
my employer doesn't even match anything for a 401 K, I can't expect them to match a dollar for hurricane relief. They did set up a fund to donate through the American Red Cross, so I gave them 10 bucks.
9/3/2005 8:27:48 AM
Cisco does dollar for dollar up to $10,000 per employee.
9/3/2005 9:07:08 AM
And the professional athletes are calling for each of them to give a whopping $1000 to the relief fund. What a joke.
