I love the DP 2.0 GHz in the office. It has been an amazing machine.
9/11/2005 2:25:40 PM
hold out for some high power x86 macs
9/11/2005 2:35:22 PM
THE MILK'S GONE BAD!
9/11/2005 2:55:27 PM
Dual 2.5 here. I've been very happy with the machine as well.
9/11/2005 2:55:43 PM
Meh, I'll buy a multi processor in a year and put your mac's to shame.
9/11/2005 7:07:46 PM
I'm still running G4. Can't wait to upgrade to a G5 iMac. I just wish I could afford the PowerMac. I don't really need all that power though.
9/11/2005 8:48:04 PM
Just cuz it says PowerMac doesn't mean it's really powerfulbuddies.
9/11/2005 8:48:45 PM
^ just because he's brown doesn't mean he's a fucktard.well, he is, but not because of that.
9/11/2005 8:58:14 PM
Isn't Ann a girl's name?
9/11/2005 9:02:46 PM
PowerMacs usually come at twice the price with twice the clockspeed and dual processors, which is more than what I need.Thnx for continuing to talk about things you don't know about.
9/11/2005 9:05:01 PM
no shit
9/11/2005 9:05:40 PM
9/11/2005 9:08:29 PM
Compared to iMacs, which top out at 2GHz and only have single processors.I'm not going into the Mac vs Intel clockspeed argument.
9/11/2005 9:14:31 PM
ohh okay
9/11/2005 9:15:21 PM
you need to start dating an engineerseriously.
9/11/2005 9:15:22 PM
Ex comp sci works for me.I'll be honest and say that I find Macs to be overpriced, and the only reason I don't just build myself a computer is because I want to run OSX instead of XP.
9/11/2005 9:20:19 PM
I agree OS X is definitely better than XP. Although the dearth of applications for OS X platform is a concern.
9/11/2005 9:23:02 PM
I haven't had any problems finding the applications that I need. And personally I like the OSX versions of Photoshop and Office better than the Windows ones.
9/11/2005 9:24:10 PM
MS Office for OSX DOES have more features than its Windows counterpart...but not for long. And a Mac on the PowerPC platform sucks at numerical computation.
9/11/2005 9:25:38 PM
Just because you get all the applications you need does not mean that its a problem. They create products for home usage, but if you try to find industrial applications for the Apple platform there arent many. Apple was and is good for home computing no doubt about it, but open source applications for the intel x86 platform definitely beats the shit out of apple as far as applications are concerned.
9/11/2005 9:28:03 PM

Well....just check anybody in the music industry....i am pretty well into it.ProTools or Logic Pro 7 both for Mac.Nobody likes increased latency times generated by craPCs
9/11/2005 11:22:42 PM
i mean very few people use ProTools in PC ... it sucks badly ...Logic yeah its for Apple cause Apple bought it ... but .... Apple is ...so if you want Logic .... sorry guys ... Mac.
