I represent a volunteer & non-profit group working on paranormal research and we are looking for additional contributors. We are looking for people who are stable and dependable. We are looking from all ends of the spectrum to try and investigate locations that are rumored to be haunted to determine whether or not there is a scientific or logical explanation for anything we can observe. Our goal is to generally study and understand these phenomena. If you are interested I can provide you with details, just PM me.Thanks

8/27/2005 6:52:23 PM

8/27/2005 7:24:52 PM
I'm the biggest skeptic you'll have. in fact, i have a personal guarantee that anyone I am around will not see or experience any paranormal phenomena
8/27/2005 8:17:26 PM
Is this HauntedNC perhaps?
8/27/2005 9:17:50 PM
8/27/2005 9:33:44 PM
^^ no, we are an independant local group. Still building support.^^^ skeptism is good, but its more about having an open mind - TRUE paranormal events are hard to find.
8/27/2005 9:45:22 PM
You obviously don't know what skepticism means.
8/27/2005 10:25:45 PM
I heard that Leazar is haunted. I didn't think it was true until I went in there once and there were a bunch of really pale dudes ALL OVER THE PLACE !

8/28/2005 1:10:32 AM
IS your goal to prove the hauntings or are you out to debunk em???
8/28/2005 2:07:33 AM
The goal is really to understand what is going on.If we study a location and realize that there is a common explanation for what people have seen, then we will attempt to "disprove" the haunting. On the other hand, if we observe things that we cannot easily explain then we will try to understand the events and document as much as we possibly can.
8/28/2005 11:18:45 AM
Do you have a website or anything where you record your results? I would be interested in taking a look your findings.
8/28/2005 12:38:16 PM
We do have a website ( http://www.elementalform.org ) but are having some host troubles at the moment. The server just moved to another provider and it isn't currently up. We are not releasing any information currently because we are still working on a site or two and have not completed our work. This group is still very young and we are just looking for more investigators to join and help us out.I don't believe in posting incomplete or "half assed" studies online because it can hurt credibility. Information will only be posted once we are able to complete a full analysis of a location.

one time i went to mordecai house on halloween night with a friend (its supposedly the most haunted place in raleigh)we didn't see anything, but an acorn fell and bounced all the way down the roof and then fell at our feet - would that have counted as paranormal?after waiting for a while, we got some krispy kreme and ate them underneath the ghost's bedroom out of spite
8/30/2005 7:52:49 PM
^ That brings up a good point, some people are frankly delusional. They are convinced their house is haunted but in reality, the "strange" things they hear and see are caused by pets, pests, wind or many other easily explainable things. So naturally, there are a few places that people are convinced are haunted but its just not true. And even if a place is "haunted" it doesn't mean something will happen on cue. So its a game of careful observation, research and interviewing witnesses among other things.

^ If you want to be involved there are other ways that you can help asides from being "on site."We still need people who are willing to review collected data ass well as help in researching the history of locations and interviewing people.
