I was messing around trying to clear my internet history so when I type in a website in the address bar other websites do not come up. I went to control panel, internet options and under the general tap is says "days to keep pages in history" and mine is set on 20 days. Does that mean when I am typing in a website and all the other websites I have been to pop up, I looked at those websites within the last 20 days? If I set the days to Zero will the websites popping up in the address bar stop?

Copy the URL of the site you are trying to clear into this thread and we can tell you what file to look for to clear it out.

Here's where the history of all URL's visited is located: C:\Documents and Settings\<insert your user name here>\Local Settings\HistoryLocal Settings is a hidden directory; you'll need to change folder options to show hidden files or type the address into Windows Explorer to get to it.URLs typed into the address bar are stored in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLsThese are the URLs that are shown when you use the drop down menu on the address bar. Both history and typed URLs are used for auto-complete. To turn off auto-complete altogether, follow darkone's instructions. This does not remove the URLs from your computer, however--use Tools->Internet Options->Clear History to remove all of the URLs. If you want to pick and choose URLs to delete (you know, remove those porn sites without being obvious about it), go to the places above.
