I am trying to get into a certain section for FLS 101. Once class starts and if I still can't get into the class where can I go to try to get added to the class? I know with COM classes you fill out a green form. In addition, does anyone know if you have to wait until Wed to fill out a green form or can you do it Monday?

probably you can do it anytime....it would probably be a good idea to talk to that proffesor anyway

Management is the only people to use a greenform. Talk to the professor and if that doesnt work, try Dudley Marchi.[Edited on August 13, 2005 at 8:28 PM. Reason : :]

Here's my experience from the past few years which may not necessarily apply to your situation: You get permission from the teacher to add. Just keep showing up to class and poison someone if they neglect to drop the seat you want. Getting added in PS, PE, and ENG entailed me filling out an add form, having the teacher sign it, and turning it in to the departmental secretary. If someone else drops and it's not too late you can add the class via Pack Tracks. After the official add date and if the class is full but you have permission, you use the add form.

As firegrl says, Management is the only college that uses green forms. They seem to be waiting until Wednesday to start them. All other colleges you can talk with the professor to see if he/she can add you to the class roll.

I have been in classes before where anyone who had emailed the prof ahead of time got in automatically, and those who just showed up had to wait to see if more spaces opened up. Regardless of what that specific prof's policy is, it wouldn't hurt to send them an email now letting them know you are interested, in addition to showing up on the first day.

^good advice. Some don't pay attention to emails and wait for the start of class; others, as mentioned above, obviously do. Do all you can to make your interest and sincerity known.

another question about closed sections: if you are a graduating senior they HAVE to let you in to the classes you need, right??? I'm in bus and I need a few classes that are closed to graduate in may

I have four MAE classes that I need next semester and are all closedI'm about to head to broughton to see if it can be fixed.

whoa, which ones are you trying to get into?
11/7/2005 5:29:05 PM
My advisor said they can get me into MAE 306 and MAE 310 because those classes are opening more seats. For the others I just have to wait and see if anybody drops the class, try and get on the waitlist. right now I need MAE 302 and 315. Both of them have one open section, but I don't want to take that section because they are late and/or have a bad prof.Is there anything I can do? She said I could just show up to class and see if the prof will add me, but I don't want to risk six credit hours on that. ]

^ Sign up for the open sections so you at least have a seat. At the beginning of the semester, beg the other proffs to get let in.If yes - switchIf no- you're not screwed.
