Ok, maybe not always up to the minute, but I will try...Grossman injured, down for a while, finally limped off, injured left knee
8/12/2005 9:17:20 PM
now they think its his ankle
8/12/2005 9:21:01 PM
Orton in the house!
8/12/2005 9:34:33 PM
actually probly Hutchinson for now, but he doesnt deserve it
8/12/2005 9:34:58 PM
Yeah, Orton and shitty ass Hutchinson are all they got
8/12/2005 9:35:09 PM
Wheres henry burris when you need him?
8/12/2005 9:40:06 PM
latest news on Grossman - sprained ankle
8/12/2005 9:44:45 PM
chicago tribune reports it could be 3 months on grossmanheadlines "season in jeopardy"
8/13/2005 12:41:29 AM
3 months over a sprained ankle???
8/13/2005 12:59:39 AM
according to ESPN he fractured his ankle
8/13/2005 1:06:05 AM
yeah, I wasnt around when they announced that, but my crack team of reporters caught it for me...
8/13/2005 4:05:38 PM
Matt Cassel looked really good last night... yeah, he wont start ahead of Brady obviously, and yeah, he was going against the Bengals 2nd and 3rd string Defenses (but he was also playing with NE's 2nd and 3rd string offense) but he looked really really good. I think he is going to pass up Davey for the backup spot in case Brady gets hurt.
8/13/2005 4:19:17 PM
so if your fantasy league has 74 teams in it you should consider drafting Cassel?I mean where exactly were you going with this...
8/13/2005 6:30:03 PM
no... just saying if you have Brady and he gets hurt, I think Cassel woiuld be a good option instead of looking at another QB to pick up
8/13/2005 8:03:57 PM
not sure what I think about Losman yet... will give some initial evaluation as I watch a bit..
8/13/2005 8:06:04 PM
Marlin Jackson has looked really good for a rookie so far
8/13/2005 8:24:06 PM
Losman is moving really good, really mobile, but every pass I have seen so far he is leaving his receivers really vulnerable, leading them right into defenders....
8/13/2005 8:26:03 PM
Ronnie Brown just signed... early enough into camp that unless he totally plays like shit Lamar Gordon is now worthless and Brown will be a good RB for at least the first 4 weeks
8/15/2005 2:59:14 PM
Chicago Signed Jeff Blake
8/15/2005 3:33:27 PM
yes they did... couldnt believe that
8/15/2005 3:44:58 PM
nm[Edited on August 15, 2005 at 3:53 PM. Reason : thinking of Jeff George]
8/15/2005 3:53:14 PM
I wish it had been Akili Smith.I miss Akili Smith.Akili Smith was my favorite Shitty Quarterback.
8/15/2005 4:07:02 PM
jeff blake is pretty good, i expect he'll be first string now
8/15/2005 4:12:55 PM
he's got a bit of learning to do, but for a veteran like him, it should be fairly seamless"throw it up to muhsin, or hand it off to cedric/thomas"
8/15/2005 6:09:33 PM
LJ Smith will EXPLODE this year.... if even T.O. does end up playing... he will have Gonzalez/Gates/Witten type numbers
8/15/2005 8:56:06 PM
Don't draft the following players:Via Sikahema, Neal Anderson, Jay Novacek, and DE BillsYes these guys were Tecmo Bowl/Super Tecmo Bowl legends, but they are not viable fantasy options.
8/15/2005 10:19:37 PM
nice going on the Sikahema
8/15/2005 10:20:26 PM
Read today that Cadillac Williams going to be starting for the Bucs if anyone has he or Pittman hanging around
8/15/2005 10:44:55 PM
should I use my first-round pick on Steve Grogan or should I go with Hart Lee Dykes instead?
8/16/2005 1:03:42 AM
Sikehema punching the padding on the goal posts after a TD is an all-time favorite of mine.
8/16/2005 7:49:30 AM
and there is not any Al Toon news today either
8/16/2005 1:40:15 PM
What do you think about this team?QB ---P. ManningWR ---T. Holt ---D. Mason---E. MouldsRB ---C. Martin---B. WestbrookTE ---J. ShockeyBN--- J. Jones (Dal- RB)--- L. Smith (Phi - TE)--- P. Burress (NYG - WR)--- J. Plummer (Den - QB)--- D. Boston (Mia - WR) K --- S. Janikowski (Oak - K) DEF --- AtlantaBN --- Washington

Pretty good, would have to see the scoring system, but pretty good.Few Notes:I would start Julius Jones over Martin most weeks, Dallas is going to pound the shit out of the ball and Bledsoe is juuuuust enough to keep them from stacking the box every down...L.J. Smith over Shockey, especially if Owens is outNot sure what Mason will do with shitty ass Boller, might want to put Plex in... and Boston is worthless until he proves otherwise

I could use a suggestion or two with what to adjust on my team. My good - I have Carolina defense, Vinateri kicking, and snagged both Antonio Gates and L.J. Smith.... oh and I have this mysterious guy named Tomlinson. My bad - I have some questionables... I have big Ben and Vick to pick from on QB. For WRs I'm currently sitting with Williams (Det), Moose (damnit Rex), Stokley, and Keary Colbert. This league went WR crazy early on and due to the way the live draft worked there were like 16 picks that went by before I had a single choice and at that point Williams was actually one of the best starters left. So.. I'm sitting with a WR dillema of sorts without many good starting WRs remaining. I only need 2 to play though because I'm running 3 RBs since the scoring system benefits them more.I can work around the WRs but I don't know what to do with the RBs. I have Westbrook and Dunn (L.T. is starting of course). I could pick up Cadillac but there really aren't any starting RBs left that get many touches other than him potentially. I'm wondering if I should throw up Smith or Gates for trade bait, go with what I have, or maybe drop Dunn? Ehh.... this is why I'm only doing one easy fantasy team this year - no time to look at stats, compare, and make good choices.
8/16/2005 8:43:14 PM
I like Cadillac a lot.,... your WR are weak, especially with Stokely's shoulder injury, I like LJ Smith a lot this year, if the peeps in your league like him too then trade him for WR help and keep the more consistant Gates.... if the arent big on Smith, then trade Gates and maybe a WR for a really good WR
8/17/2005 2:34:14 AM
six-team league, here's who I got:QB T. Brady / NEM. Hasselbeck / SEAWR T. Holt / STLJ. Horn / NORo. Williams / DETRBL. Tomlinson / SD (fell into my lap after Peyton, McNabb, and Favre went top 3)C. Dillon / NETE J. Witten / DALW/T S. Smith / CARW/R R. Johnson / CINBN A. Lelie / DENC. Williams / TBJ. Wiggins / MINJ. Arrington / ARID. Carr / HOUL. Evans / BUFM. Anderson / DENKe. Johnson / DALK S. Janikowski / OAKDEF CarolinaBuffaloD R. Lewis / BALD. Smith / NOM. McKenzie / NOJ. Peppers / CARhow do you think i did - did I get the steal of the draft?
8/17/2005 5:23:02 AM
I would not have wasted a pick on two Defenses in a 6 team league.
8/17/2005 10:05:57 AM
6 team league? I refuse to comment, thats a useless league.
8/17/2005 11:32:27 AM
8/17/2005 11:55:38 AM
thanks for the suggestions - but looks like I'm in a bit of trouble - Cadillac was taken before I could pick him up and Dunn hurt his ankle lol.... I'm definitely going to have to do some trading because there isn't anyone left worth picking up in RB/WR right now
8/17/2005 3:47:40 PM
what about Ronnie Brown?JJ Arrington?
8/17/2005 4:10:07 PM
8/17/2005 4:47:24 PM
hahahaha, was thinking that too...wonder if it was a Packers fan... hate it when fuckers ruin a league by picking all players from their favorite team
8/17/2005 4:51:56 PM
exactlyi'm a huge Colts fan, and since i had the number 1 pick, i took peyton, because it was wise, and because he's my boyhowever, down the line, i passed on stokely to take Eric Moulds, because I expect Moulds to have a better season. its just business, doesn't mean i wont be cheering him all season
8/17/2005 5:13:57 PM
8/17/2005 7:29:14 PM
ron dayne and tiki barber both taken?
8/17/2005 7:32:46 PM
mike anderson from the broncos is their #1 rb now, if he stays there he will put up huge numbers. you should grab him
8/17/2005 7:55:50 PM
yeah, I would take advantage of the Gates fan
8/17/2005 11:06:27 PM
^^ Already taken.^^^ Dayne is available but I'm wanting more touches than 2nd/3rd backs. And Tiki is gone... quite literally every running back that starts is gone - there are fullbacks and 2nd/3rd backs left only. There are two teams who decided to stack up on some backs for whatever reason and are going to hurt in a week or two due to WR shortage but maybe they intend to do trades or just wanted security since we can run 3 RBs and the points benefit them? Who knows... I'm sure the teams will change up a bit once the season starts up anyway. Thanks for the tips - I'm going to just sit back and hope Dunn stays healthy and make best of what I have until trades or injuries change things
