If you were looking at it at Bestbuy, it just dropped 2 grand from last week. It used to sell for 7k and now its only 5k

I got a $1900 card for Best Buy... looking at plasmas... any good deals coming up that anyone knows about?

8/4/2005 2:15:18 AM
^^ what's your address?
8/4/2005 2:45:46 AM
hi i'm rich

don't buy plasma, buy an LCD TV or a DLP if you don't mind using more space.
8/4/2005 8:51:13 AM
why? I know plasma's have a danger of burn in, but most places I have looked says thats not really a big deal anymore. The LCD's in the size i am wanting are expensive as shit
8/4/2005 11:11:44 AM
^ but the gases that make up each pixel also dissipate after a few years.. and you need to spend some $$ to get it recharged/refilled.. etc.. so plasmas lose color vibrance, and brightness over time..of course with LCD, you also get burn-in and dead-pixels(which is rare now with todays LCD technology)and with DLP you have to replace the lamp every so often.and there is no way an LCD at the size you want is more expensive than a plasma.. if it is.. then the plasma you're looking at is an EDTV and not an HDTV

i heard you can take the plasma from your blood and recharge it with that. they sell do-it-yourself kits for like $9.99
8/4/2005 1:22:27 PM
every LCD I have looked at for 42" or bigger was more expensive than plasmas...
8/4/2005 1:43:21 PM
^ Yeah he's right.Do what I did. Make sure your walls are painted white (or buy a cheap screen) and spend about $600 on a projector. 95" screen for $600, and it's quality. Mine's only 800x600 (BenQ PB6100) but everyone that sees it is like Of course, you need a receiver/speakers for sound, but it's amazing.
8/4/2005 2:04:35 PM
If you get a projector, get one that will do HD.
8/4/2005 2:10:26 PM
Yeah its the Best Buy one. It $5,000...I wonder how much it is with the BB emp discount, prolly $2500.
